A red heart sends a message
that says "I so love you,"
but we can send those same words
in what we say and do.
If I see someone crying
or looking very sad,
I'll stop to show some kindness
and he won't feel so bad.

With Love, From Me to You is a board book that shows how to love one another in various situations and also how God shows love to us. A polar bear mail carrier visits a new little animal each spread of pages, encountering animals who are sad, shy, and angry, delivering letters sealed with hearts. The book then talks about how we feel God's love and how our outward kindness shows God's love to others. The text it given through four lines of rhyming text on each spread. The language is easy enough, but not confined to short words, either. The cover has red foil for the title and hearts on the cover, which adds a nice little touch of shiny. The pages are not completely stiff, so this book is a good transition from a hard board book to books with real paper. The illustrations are adorable with all sorts of little animals holding letters sealed with hearts, helping elderly animals, hugging one another, and playing together. This book would be a cute gift for valentine's day or any other time, really. As the back of the book says, it's a "sweet reminder to little ones how important it is to love and be loved." I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but was not required to post a positive review.
With Love, From Me to You By Dr. Mary Manz Simon is an endearing tale for children that helps them to understand what love is and what it can look like. It's the perfect book to pick up for both boys and girls ages 2- 6 years old during not just the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday season but year round. In this book, we are introduced to a postman bear that travels here and there on a train. On, this train, we meet several different characters both young and old as the story unfolds. The postman sends good cheer by waving to someone that is alone, stopping to share kindness with someone that is sad, reminding someone who is angry that God loves them, and so forth. I like there's the line that loves is more than candies and flowers though those things are nice in the book. It importantly points out love is an action, a good word toward others, and that God is love and we should share him with all both near and far in whatever way we can. The book is written in a rhyming way so it's easy to catch on with and listen too. The art is capturing, colorful, and a lot of fun to look at. The animals are sweet and the expressions on their faces go perfectly with the written verse through the story. My youngest child loved listening to me read this book. She enjoyed the pictures of the animals, insects, flowers, and how the day time shifted to the night as the book ended. She has brought this book to me to read many times in a day. I adore being able to share what love truly is with her with such a delightful offering. This is a wonderful book to teach children about what true Christian love is and to share about feelings like sadness, anger, and loneliness. There's so much packed into these pages that can be used as a jumping board into so many life-changing conversations. I recommend it! This is such a sweet board book for kids on showing love to others. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, it would make a special treat, perhaps along with a chocolate kiss, to say how very special and loved they are. Saying “I love you” is one way to express love. But finding someone who’s alone, sad, angry or worried, and showing love for them through kindness, can sometimes mean more than just words. Colorful and cute animal illustrations. If you’re not familiar with Corinna Ice’s work, do a search online. She’s a great illustrator for children’s books. A sweet bear delivers a read heart message that says “I love you so much.” This book emphasizes that showing love is more than just receiving a sweet treat. It’s sharing God’s love from within to those around us. And it covers not only finding those in need and helping others but also in forgiveness. The message is one that I find important to share with my kids as they’ve grown: changing the me attitude to a you or others attitude. The book is a picture board book (like pressed cardboard) but isn’t as sturdy as other board books I’ve reviewed in the past. It would be fine for toddlers and early readers, but may not hold up to teething babies who love to chew on book corners. So watch out for that while reading and maybe give them a teething ring during story time. This book would make a nice addition to a child’s home library and a nice gift on Valentine’s day. I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
This lovely little board book presents the concept of being loved and showing love in a light-hearted, gentle, sweet, and fun method using the tried and true rhyming text that helps to imprint the ideas and words on the mind and heart of the young "reader" and listener. While the "mail-bear" appears to have a mail pouch stuffed with valentines, love is a message that is appropriate anytime and all the time and therefore this book is not just a "Valentine" book. The book's publication launch date was December 26, 2017 which is timely for the upcoming Valentine holiday. But as I said, the message to extend love is appropriate at all times. Cute, friendly, smiling animals populate this charming book. The little train that traverses the countryside is adorable and just begs to be played with. Alas, it stays ont the pages. The flitting birds, fluffy clouds, and floating dandelion puffs lend airy happiness. But the sharing of love with those around is the message and it is clearly stated in the text and images. A joyful, delightful book to present to a young child to help them get beyond the "me" stage to the "you" stage. A red heart sends a message that says "I so love you," but we can send those same words in what we say and do. “We feel God's love inside us when we show that we care, by helping and forgiving and showing how to share.” With Love From Me to You is a hard covered board book written by Mary Mans Simon. The book is beautifully illustrated by Corinna Ice, who uses her heart and brush to paint the world. This is one of the cutest little books! The Polar Bear mailman is driving a train and delivering letters with red hearts to the little animals in the story. The story helps teach little children the lesson of showing others that they love them. Children can show others kindness by saying hi, by showing kindness to some one who is crying and to remind some one who is angry, that God loves them. Children can give kindness every day of the year to those far and near. And when they get a blessing, they know that God loves them. This is a very cute book for little children. I just love the pictures in this book. They are so cute and colorful. Little children will enjoy picking out the different little animals and following the train through the story. They will also enjoy finding all the hearts in the pictures. With just 18 pages, it is the perfect length to hold a little one's attention This easy to read story for the early reader. Written in rhyme, it will be fun to read to little children. This is a very durable book that will last a long time. The cover and pages are shiny to help keep it clean. I received a copy of this book from the publisher from BookLook Bloggers. This is my honest review.
