Withholding Evidence by Rachel Grant

Some secrets are worth dying for...

Military historian Trina Sorensen has a nearly impossible task before her: get recalcitrant but tempting former Navy SEAL Keith Hatcher to reveal what happened during a top secret Somalia op five years ago. Recent history isn't usually her forte, but the navy wants an historian's perspective and has given her the high security clearance to get the job done.

Keith isn't just refusing to tell Trina about the op, he's protecting a national secret that could destroy the lives of those he cares about the most. But not wanting to talk about a covert mission doesn't mean he isn't interested in spending time with the sexy historian, and the first time they kiss it's explosive.

When the past comes pounding on Keith's door, he'll do anything to keep Trina safe... Anything, that is, except tell her the secret that could get them both killed.

The third book in Grant's Evidence series, WITHHOLDING EVIDENCE is a short novel – approximately 50,000 words/150 pages.

160 pages. Cost $2.99. Book three of series. Stand alone. Has some cameos by previous characters. Once again filled with sex and profanity. Editing okay. Plot okay. Murder romance, chick lit. For adults. Will not purchase book four. Plot remains the same, only the names and occupations have been changed. AD

Rachel Grant's Evidence Series is now a must buy and read for me! Withholding Evidence is a much shorter novel than the previous Evidence books, but it is just as interesting and exciting. Trina and Keith are both strong characters and even though this story is short, the plot never seems rushed. Many characters from the previous novels are tied into this story, also. I am anxiously awaiting the next Evidence book!!!

FINALLY got around to reading this even though I bought it the day it came out, and am really glad I did. I loved the quick chemistry between Trina and Keith. Keith was 100% alpha Navy SEAL who was utterly charmed by the historian with moxie who never backed down from her goals. The story was pure fun—and funny—romance for the first 1/3 to 1/2, then the suspense kicked in for a fast, fun, intense ride to the end.
