It sits under the Stone. There are alot of carvings. Very cozy, moist soil.

David Gemmells ability to tell a story completely describes the main character Jon Shannow, the Jerusalem Man. In the meantime this book brings up a unique philosophy and approach to commitments and beliefs.

This book simultaneously defends and attacks religous beliefs and human emotions. It does an excellent job of pointing out mankinds foibles by making one man experience and encounter them all. Jon Shannow, the Jeruselum Man, may be the most well developed character ever invented.

The way the author mixes the textures of Jon Shannow's love for Donna and his cold ability to kill turns a man, which, if veiwed with only his killings, would be a cold and ruthless animal. Instead, we have a person that is not some super human killer, but perhaps more human that we are, for as he controls the killing ability again and again, it is forced to the surface. Also, the biblical lines and surface plots are not lane down heavily, but only serve to strengthen the truth in this man as he searches for the truth in life in a city that may already be destroyed. I can safely say that anyone will enjoy this book.
