“Toni” Jean-Louis Parker is an extraordinary young lady with a house hold of siblings that are prodigies (every last one of them). She has been helping to manage her siblings training and careers for as long as she can remember but now she is taking a step out on her own. She has been offered a job managing the travel and promotions of a highly chaotic ice hockey team. One of her assignments sends her into the heart of bear shifter territory in Siberia and her boss higher Ricky Lee to travel as her security. Did I mention that Toni is a she-jackal and bears hate anything 1/8 dog… Ricky Lee Reed isn’t looking for anything serious but when he runs into the intriguing little she-jackal during his brother’s hockey practice, his world is about to change. Where that little she-jackal goes, crazy and entertaining things always follow. Ricky just happens to be there most of the time to watch it happens. When Toni suffers from separation anxiety, the slow building friendship becomes something much more. This sexy wolf may have bitten off more than he can chew with this hot little she-jackal but it sure is going to be fun to watch. This is another hilariously funny story from Shelly Laurenston. I can’t help but laugh out loud at the outrageous antics of these amazing characters from Laurenston imagination. Sometimes I wonder, how does she make this stuff up...but I’m still blown away time and time again. You want a fun, exciting, action packed, crazy shifter story don’t miss Wolf with Benefits.  This ARC copy of Wolf with Benefits was given to me by Kensington Publishing Group in exchange for a honest review. Publish Date March 26, 2013.

How can you not love this book and the whole series?!?!?? The whole Jean-Louise Parker clan is what helps make Toni Toni, add in Ricky Lee Reed and you have yourself one GREAT read from start to finish. You have characters from previous books and the story gets even better because you know more laughter is coming and you do not want to put this book down. I most definitely did not want to(even though I started to fall asleep at 12 am still reading) but it is such a great purchase to make because you will laugh and laugh and if you haven't read any of the previous books in the series you should do so now. Totally AWESOME!!!!! I can't wait for the next pride story to come out. Hopefully it will be about Livy and Vic. A Must Buy!!!!

Wolf with Benefits (Pride #8) by Shelly Laurenston Toni Jean-Louis Parker is the oldest sister to ten jackal-shifter prodigy. Wolf shifter, Rickey Lee Reed, loves to be entertained. When Toni’s family is threatened, who better to assign to keep an eye on Toni then Rickey Lee. I love Wolf with Benefits. Shelly Laurenston does such an incredible job with this series. I can always count on her books to make me laugh. One of the things I adore most about this series is that the shifters are so driven by their animals, in a very humorous manner. All the different groups just accept the various quirks of the other species. They might not like each other but when it comes down to humans versus shifters, they will always stand by each other. I really like Toni. Having helped raise her gifted siblings, she underestimates her own worth. She is a skilled negotiator and extremely good at reading people and what they value; a necessity when dealing with so many egos. Everyone who meets her ends up loving her or at least appreciating her. I’ve always liked the Reed brothers. Rickey Lee is probably the most balanced of the three brothers. He is laid back, yet lethal in a fight. I love that he is easily entertained and lets the amusement come to him. I can understand how he would enjoy hanging around the Carnivore Hockey Team and the Jean-Louis Parker Family, entertaining they are. Not only is the story comical, it has a noteworthy plot. Humans have broken into the Jean-Louis Parker family’s house, and they need to be protected. With so many prodigies, no one knows who the humans are interested in. The story is extremely clever and full of excitement. I appreciate that characters from the previous Pride books and Magnus Pack series are essential in this story. While you could probably read this book as a stand-alone, I think you would enjoy it more if you read the books in order and got a good background on everyone’s personalities. Shelly Laurenston is so exceptional at character development that you become truly invested in the series. The Pride Series is unique among shifter novels. Most shifter stories I have read seem are about people who can shift into an animal but act like humans. In this series, the people come off more like their animals. Male lions are obsessed with their hair; foxes are untrustworthy; honey badgers are mean, bears love honey (except polar bears). The wolves are a bit different depending on their pack. Followers of the Pride series will not be disappointed. If you have not tried the series yet and enjoy reading about shifters and laughing, you do not want to pass this series up. I seriously want to know how Shelly Laurenston comes up with her material because it does not get old and is always entertaining. I think all the Shelly Laurenston books are great, the characters are funny and have individual personalities all their own. I enjoy how all the stories tie together and the plots are not canned to where I know what is going to happen next.

Disappointing --- I've read all Laurenston books and am always excited when a new one comes out. This one was a struggle for me.the plot was weak, it had little to no romance, and I get the feeling Laurenston was trying to beat some record for character count. The entire book was highly unfocused. I will continue to read future books, but before warned, this one is not to her standard.

Laurenston is one of the very few authors I will even consider paying more than $5 for an ebook. They're sexy without being pornographic, have great character development and characters you love to love and the repartee between them keeps me laughing out loud throughout. With this book I've read everything she's written and am already feeling the withdrawal waiting for the next one.

As I have stated beforeI love coming back to this collection over and over. Each can be a stand alone perfectly but the joy I get from following one after the other never changes. All this family of prodigies and making Bo part of them giving him others like himself to embrace him. It is perfect. I also have most of your other books. When I finish the next book I will check if you added to this series. If not , then I will read again your next one until I get to the last one you are working on and get any book I have miss as I go along. Please keep writing

Never read this author before, but I enjoyed this so much that I will be hunting up the rest of the series. The situations and dialog kept me laughing throughout. The family of prodigy jackals are just as wacky as the werewolves, and the rest of the werefolk are just perfect for the hockey venue! Get clues from the publisher's blurb, then get reading!

Ricky Lee Reed is a wolf originally from Tennessee who had moved to New York City with his siblings. He is still pure Southerner as he just flows through his days when he's not working at a security company with his brothers. After a day of continually running into Toni Jean-Louise Parker, he decided it was time to get to know the beautiful jackal while she struggles to get a little bit of freedom from constantly taking care of her brilliant siblings' lives. This author has a way with writing her characters that are funny and lovable. With this book, you can literally hear Ricky Lee and his siblings speak in a slow Southern drawl. Rather than make her books about Alpha Shifters with serious plot, she keeps a lot of traits one might have if they were a bit animal, which makes for a pretty funny book, great stories and great characters. Overall, I loved the book and highly recommend it. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

Wolf with Benefits is filled with humor, sarcasm, romance, and a cast of characters that reminds me of a really great sitcom. Even though it is the 8th book in the author’s Pride series, it’s easy to fall in step with the storyline and secondary characters. Toni has always managed her family’s lives and they take her for granted. They are all extremely intelligent and gifted and she has always felt like she is not. But, her superior organizational skills are what keeps the entire clan’s schedules from falling apart. She lands a job of her own managing the travel and schedule of a hockey team, which leaves her family out of sorts. I love Toni and her strong will! She is extremely smart, but has always lived in the shadow of her nine younger siblings. Their snarkiness was cruel and horrible! I wanted to reach into the pages and strangle them all! Ricky Lee is lazy and thinks life is a big arena for his entertainment. He takes his security job very seriously and comes to Toni’s rescue. He seems to be where ever she goes, especially when things are extremely chaotic for her. But, the sexy wolf can’t seem to stay away from her even though she is a she-jackal. This story left me laughing so hard that my stomach hurt! I don’t remember reading anything else by this author, but I’m going to go check out the rest of her books! There are so many storylines going on, but it doesn’t get confusing because they all fuse together. I will say that there are a lot of secondary characters, but they only enhance the entertainment. *Copy provided for review.

first I want to say I love this author and everything she has written. She writes with great imagination and humor. That being said...I am angry that this book in the over view for my nook said published june 2015. I thought is sounded familiar but as it wasnt shown as read I bought is..IT WAS PUBLISHED in 2013 and I already own it..I really resent it was lised incorrectly as a new publication. I would give a 5 star other wise but I dont want others fooled
