About the Author

Pat Simmons considers herself a self-proclaimed genealogy sleuth. She is passionate about researching her ancestors, then casting them in starring roles in her novels. She has been a genealogy enthusiast since her great-grandmother died at the young age of ninety-seven years old.
She describes the evidence of the Gift of the Holy Ghost as an amazing, powerful, unforgettable, and life-alternating experience. She believes God is the Author who advances the stories she writes.
Pat has a B.S. in mass communications from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She has worked in various media positions in radio, television, and print for more than twenty years. Currently, she oversees the media publicity for the annual RT Booklovers Conventions. Pat is a motivational speaker and has been a panelist on several workshops that focus on the writing industry.
She is the recipient of numerous literary awards, including The Black Pearls Magazine's 2008 Top Books that Changed Lives for Talk to Me, ranked #14; The Romance Slam Jam Committee's 2008 Katherine D. Jones Award for Grace and Humility; The Romance Slam Jam committee's 2011 Emma Award for Still Guilty as The Best Inspirational Romance of the Year; and Crowning Glory as the Best Christian Fiction for 2011 by O.O.S.A. Online Book club.
Pat 2012 books releases are three books in the Jamieson Legacy in 2012, which feature the Jamieson men from her popular Guilty series: Guilty by Association (January) and The Guilt Trip (June) and Free From Guilt ( October 2012). She is also the author of several eBooks.
When Pat is not tracking down her ancestors and writing novels, she's cutting out patterns and sewing clothes to add to her wardrobe.
Pat has converted her sofa-strapped, sports-fanatical husband into an amateur travel agent, untrained bodyguard, and GPS-guided chauffeur. They have a son and daughter.
Pat’s media appearances include television and radio; newspaper and magazine write-ups; blogtalk radio and blog interviews.

This is the second book of the Love at Work Series and you will not be disappointed. Years ago I use to love to write letters, it was nice to read a story based on honest and true feelings, without the physical attraction.
