Enjoyable read! For those of us tired of reading about 23 year old innocents, this is a great read. The protagonist has real-life troubles but gets through with the help of friends and family - and a hunky man. In the end, independence and self-worth triumph, with hints of a fabulous future. A positive theme without being sugary sweet.

I seriously enjoyed how easy it was to relate to Hale and her family. It was refreshing to have a character that had to deal with real life...money, quirky family members, a job...just to name a few. Very refreshing read. Thanks!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought the writing style was unique and the characters were believable. This will not be the last book I read by Marley Gibson.

On spite of all the negative happenings in Hale's life, recent divorce, grandmother's death and the loss of a job, with the right people in her life at the right time she is able to rise above all of this with the help of people who believe in her and encourage her.

At some point in their life, everyone has a career low point. A couple of events caused Hale to rethink her direction. She allowed life, friends and family to guide her to happiness.

A very interesting book. Very enjoyable to read. I liked everyone in the book, except Scary Older Sister. She has alot of baggage. Looking forward to reading more books in the series.

1. I haven't even made it into the middle of the book but I have to write this. It really frustrates me when there is a book like this one, where the protagonist is supposedly a copy-editor, and there are incorrectly used words in the book. "Wretch" instead of "retch"; "break" instead of "brake" etc. 2. The writing style makes me think we're talking about a younger person...The character is 45??? Seriously. I don't care that she doesn't have her life together, because really, everyone's got issues. I just don't feel drawn to the story. Honestly, I don't think I particularly care to finish the story...and that's a scary thought, because I adore books.
