About the Author

Jeff Berman served as the National Delegate Director of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Berman held similar roles in the previous presidential efforts of former Senator John Glenn and House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt and is one of the foremost Democratic experts on the presidential nominating system. After Obama’s 2008 victory, Berman was elected to the Democratic National Committee and its powerful Rules and Bylaws Committee. Berman lives in Washington, DC with his wife and four children. He is an attorney and a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School.
