The Saturday Triplets #1: Lost in the Leaf Pile, by Katherine Kenah
Triplets Ana, Bella, and Carlos star in a series of (appropriately) three books in which they spend their Saturdays in search of adventure. Whether losing their cat in a race to rake the biggest leaf pile, deciding whose agenda to follow at the pumpkin fair, or homeschooling their stuffed animals, these three always manage to discover excitement. With simple prose, sight words, and short sentences, the trio of Saturday Triplets books is ideal for beginning readers. (Ages 4-7)

A Year in the Life of Macy Casey and the Pretend Triplets, by Diana Loveday
Only child Macy Casey celebrates her sixth birthday at the beginning of this book, and we proceed to follow her and her friends through their year together. Macy already considers her best-friend (with rhyming name) Gracie to be her twin sister and soon they meet another girl who also fits the bill. Et voila! The pretend triplets are born! (Ages 5-7)

Little Rabbit’s New Baby, by Harry Horse
Little Rabbit is so excited for the arrival of his new baby brother or sister. He’s going to be the best older brother to the baby. When he visits mom in the hospital, he and dad get a big surprise (and dad gets a cup of tea and a chair): triplets! Having three new babies around is not quite what Little Rabbit expected. Sugar Plums to the Rescue!, by Whoopi Goldberg
The fifth (unfortunately not the third) book in the Sugar Plum Ballerinas series finds the Nutcracker School of Ballet in trouble, and triplets Jessica, Jerzey Mae, and JoAnn are desperate to save it from being razed into space for condos. A kitten complicates the plot (doesn’t it always?) and a recital is looming in the future. Will the sisters’ pas de trois be able to save the day? (Ages 7-9)

Where Triplets Go, Trouble Follows, by Michelle Poploff
Floral-named fraternal sisters Violet, Daisy, and Lily Devine set out on some family-based, good-natured adventures in this charming chapter book. Violet prefers to be the star of the show, Daisy is athletic-minded, and Lily is a bookworm. Though these triplets don’t look or think alike, they are always there for each other when it really counts. (Ages 7-11)

Triple Trouble, by Julia Devillers and Jennifer Roy
Another instance of a book featuring triplets being the fifth book in a series, Triple Trouble is the tale of identical girl twins facing off against troublesome identical boy triplets. Everything comes to a head at the Multipalooza festival for multiples. Identities are switched, wagers exchanged, wackiness ensues! You’ll lose track of who’s whom in no time, but that’s half—er, a third of the fun. Written by a pair of real-life identical twins, the stories in this series draw from the authors’ actual switching experiences. (Ages 9-13)
