Demigods & Magicians: Percy and Annabeth Meet the Kanes, out April 5, is comprised of three crossover short stories all published together for the first time—The Son of Sobek, which first appeared in The Serpent’s Shadow, the third book in the Kane Chronicles trilogy; The Staff of Serapis, first seen in The Mark of Athena, the third book in The Heroes of Olympus series; and The Crown of Ptolemy, first printed in The House of Hades, the fourth novel in The Heroes of Olympus series.
In this new collection, powerful magicians Carter and Sadie meet demigods Percy and Annabeth for the first time as strange creatures begin showing up in unexpected places. In The Son of Sobek, Carter and Percy come together to tackle a giant crocodile that’s terrorizing Long Island. Sadie and Annabeth then encounter a two-headed monster on the subway in The Staff of Serapis. Finally, the fearsome foursome joins forces in the final tale, The Crown of Ptolemy, to battle an ancient Egyptian magician, Setne, who has returned from the dead and is trying to become a god himself by mixing Greek and Egyptian spells.
