Prosaic-Poetic Takes

Pieces on the dirt underlying society and the self, on war, on affliction, on mortality, on experiences in Chicago, on philosophy, on certain personages, and on other matters. The tone, at times, is humorous, sardonic, skeptical, empathetic, romantic, or regretful. The pieces are not above using uncivil language or stealing lines from well-known writers.
