This book started with a bang and didn't let up. Kelly has lost her 4 year old son on a hike in the forest and the only man who can help her is the man she walked away from 5 years ago, Search and Rescue team leader Buzz Malone, her son's father, who doesn't know he is a father. The characters were so complex and involving, the secret baby plot made perfect sense. Kelly has lost her smokejumper father and brother in a helicopter crash and could not deal with Buzz's need for adventure. I ached with Kelly as she searched for her son, as she longed for a relationship with a man she knew could break her heart. It all came together so wonderfully in the end. There was not one part of this page turner I didn't enjoy.
