About the Author

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasnt until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known.

An epic and emotional conclusion to an amazing trilogy! Note: This review contains NO spoilers I am just reeling at this epic conclusion to The Danaan Trilogy! A Place Beyond was a topsy-turvy journey between two worlds as Allison struggles and fights to save those she loves. Of course, it is important to read this trilogy from the beginning since The Forgotten Ones and Stone of Destiny (book 1 & 2, respectively) sets up the entire setting for this dramatic conclusion. I mean seriously, I was brought to tears in some seriously emotional parts! This epic and dramatic end of an amazing trilogy was filled with action, adventure, twists, and an emotional turn that will have you reeling with mixed up feels. Being that of a fairytale nature, of course, it did have that happy ending...but, it was also bittersweet. Laura Howard delivered an amazing faery story that was filled with wonderful characters that expressed a great deal of emotional conflict, even when it was hidden. It will definitely tear your heart up.

A fitting conclusion to the Danaan trilogy, this story burrowed into my heart from the beginning. There are so many changes in some of the characters, and Allison and Ethan have to fight through difficult odds to get to their happily ever after, with the two of them trying to figure out who they can and cannot trust. But everything is not as it seems. Sometimes evil can be overcome, and sometimes the best plans can backfire. Who really survives in the end? And will Allison be able to save even those she hadn't planned on saving? Laura Howard has a gift for story telling and kept me looking toward the next page as each one passed. I became attached to her characters, invested in their relationships. And at the end, she surprised even me. I only hope she continues to write, because I find it hard to believe this is the only adventure she has in her imagination. I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings us next.

I could not possibly be more thrilled with the way Laura Howard ended the Danaan Trilogy with A Place Beyond.  This entire trilogy was so full of angst and suspense, I had difficulty envisioning the HEA.  This book 3 was done so well, that the transition between evil mystery and everlasting love was seamless (and flawless).  Howard has an incredible ability to draw me in and not let go.  Very well done, indeed.  I will miss these characters.

The much awaited third book with the climax of the fight of her life!! Allison has laid everything on the line and is trying to fight for her mom, her dad, Ethan, and the rest of the Danaan people. She has sacrificed so much for this fight and to become the person that everyone thinks that she is. So many things have gone wrong and she's lost so much but can she do it? This was such a great conclusion to the trilogy. It was emotional and had some curve balls thrown in that I didn't expect. I really hope that Laura writes some more about the Danaan and Allison. It would be kind of cool to see a prequel of this series or possibly one for in the future, maybe with Allison's children. I'm going to miss these characters and the world of the Danaan. It's such a magical place and the characters are likable and fun. 5 books!
