About the Author

Jim LeMay is from Missouri, the land of Mark Twain, Edwin Hubble, Walter Cronkite, Robert A. Heinlein, Yogi Berra and many other notable Americans. He has worked at many of the same jobs, professions and avocations as the people in his novels – bartender (and, with his wife, tavern owner), homebrewer, land surveyor, civil engineer and land developer – and a few things they have not (artist and newspaper man among others). He currently lives in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area with his wife, Nyla.

I try to begin books with an open mind, but I was unable to finish the first chapter.  With over- punctuation, run-on sentences, and a generally poor flow, I wasn't able to develop an interest in the plot.  Perhaps there is an excellent story buried in the unreadable text, but I'm not a bit tempted to try and find it in the book's current form.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but this book was not only boring, but confusing. Once again the e-writers challege is not just to write a book...it is to write one that everyone not related to you wants to read. Dystopian books are so popular those of us who are fans can't wait to buy the next one...we overlook grammer and editing mistakes when the plot and characters and especially the dialog move us forward turning pages well into the darkest hours of night. This book is just long. Jp

Great concept. Very well written. The story is over a 1000 pages, but never bogs down. Stays interesting right up to the end. Characters were well defined and realistic. You want to find out what happens to them. A great read.
