This book is amazing. Thought provoking. Gut wrenching. Beautiful. Every page is steeped in emotion that cost me sleepless nights  because I couldn't put it down. And it cost me tears with dialogue that touched my heart.   “What do you want me to do for you? After…” He took in a long, slow breath and studied my face like he was memorizing every line. “Miss me.” In this book, I began to look beyond the sickness plaguing them, and to see two young people who lived their lives the way  we all should live. In the moment. In the now.  “Cry lots, Sweetness…but don’t cry long.” And in reality. A reality they could not escape.  “My memories I’m taking with me.” I loved this book. I only wish I could give it more than 5-stars. Brava!

I cried I laughed and cried a lot more. As I sat and read this book I found myself getting more and more invested in the story of not only love but the harshness of reality. Nearing the end I found myself sobbing along with taylor. I love this story it is definately worth reading!

**The author of this book gave me a copy for an honest review. ** What an emotional read!   By no means, upon reading the book description, did I believe this would be a happy love story.  It was definitely a topic that nobody wants to think about, but I still found myself routing for the love of Taylor and Gavin!  Cancer has invaded both of their lives and their bodies.  Would they have even met if it wasn't for cancer?  Not likely.  Gavin is a wealthy man that has built a successful business while Taylor is still a teenager.   She doesn't want to die a virgin and he would like to find love and have soneone that will grieve for him when he dies.  The author did such a great job of making you forget there was any real age gap because they were just meant to be with each other and the reader must route for their love!  I didn't want this book to end!  You probably will cry when you read this, and you will want to read this book in one sitting if possible!  I look forward to more of the author's work!

I received a copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review Though I was bit hesitant (the topic is out-of-norm for me), I was very surprised what a pleasure was to read! The characters were very realistic and the story was so well written that you wonder if Gavin and Taylor actually existed. Kary did a very good job of bringing their experiences to life. I was elated when Gavin & Taylor got married and cried when [ Gavin passed. (hide spoiler)] Personally, I thought Maureen's character acted more like a friend than a mother; however, in the same situation, who wouldn't? Will we learn what Gavin wrote to Matt? If not, why tell us he wrote Matt!?!?

One of the most amazing books I've ever read! I loved every second of it. At first I wasn't sure I would enjoy it but when I picked it up and began reading the first few chapters I knew I would love the rest of it. WARNING: Have a box of tissues near by when reading!

I hardly know where to start with my review. I have heard so many good things about A Taylor-Made life for close to a year now and have had it loaded on my Nook for nearly that amount of time. My reading time is limited and I knew I wanted to read this book, but only opened it up recently. I could kick my own butt for waiting so long. This is a story that has it all. Humor. Emotion. Love. Great plot. Characters you can relate to and love. Conflict. You name it, it’s in there. I loved Taylor the main character. I loved her fun-loving personality and the way she tried to keep her spirits up even when things were at their lowest. She’s a strong young woman that is a perfect role model. I think she must have gotten a lot of that from her mom. Maureen…I smile just thinking about her. She’s the type of mom everyone would want in their corner. Strong and silent when needed, but not afraid to speak her mind and tell you like it is when it’s appropriate. And then there’s Gavin. An amazingly sweet hero who is afraid to reveal to much of himself, but when thrown together with Taylor—and then her mom—can’t help but lower his guard. There were so many times in reading this story I just wanted to reach into the pages and give Taylor and Gavin a hug. They were characters that jumped off the page and became friends. Friends I cared about. This story tugged at my heart like no other story has in quite awhile. I laughed, I cried, I stayed up too late because I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this book if you want an emotional read full of love. Even though I guessed at the outcome pretty early on, the journey getting there wasn’t one I’d want to miss. This was probably the best $2.99 I spent all year. Grab your copy NOW and don’t wait as long as I did to read this story. You won’t be disappointed. Kary Rader, thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful story.

Wow! This book swept me away right from the beginning. It was a bit too fast paced for my taste, which at times caused the believability to slip, but that succeeded in making it hard to put down. Mrs. Rader created wonderful characters that I ended up deeply caring about and rooting for. The tragic aspect of the story was well laced with humor and love, but believe me, you will still cry. Keep the tissues handy! This is one of the better books I've read so far this year! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Taylor-Made Life by Kary Rader Rating 5***** This book was provided from the author in exchange for honest literary review. This isn't a book it is a journey. I swear if you have any amount of heart, you won't come away from reading this story the same as you were prior to starting it. It makes you realize how important it is to cherish the days we are given, and forget about the extra wants on life. When Taylor starts her journey, all she simply wants is to not die a virgin. When Gavin is paired to be her mentor, things will never be the same. Both of them have cancer and are living on borrowed times. There is a huge age difference, they live on opposite sides of the country...there are thousands of reasons why this will never work. Then in walks fate. Hands down one of the most gripping and emotional books I have ever read. One minute I was sobbing hysterically the next minute holding my ribs from laughing. It takes you so accurately through the rough times in life when tragedy hits, and you have to choose either to live or wallow in self pity. The writing is flawless. I sat down AND started this book and simply couldn't put it down. It is such an awesome story, but it is relevant fiction. Once you read it, you take a piece of the story away with you. Treasure what you have, for others are dying to get it. I will tell you this is one of the best books you cam purchase out there. I believe everyone should read it!!!!! This will be on my top reads list for 2013. Also I have to say the author has a great concept of what a new adult read is! Not kidding go one click this like now!!!! Happy Reading!!!!!! Michelle McQueen WARNING THE READING OF THIS BOOK CAUSES EXTREME TISSUE USAGE....(LOL)

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to author Kary Rader, and Christine Marie, Book Publicity and Promotion.) 17-year-old Taylor is dying. She has leukaemia, and as a blood marrow donor has not been found, she’s not expected to live to her 19th birthday. Taylor knows what she wants though, and she doesn’t want to die a virgin. When Taylor then meets 25-year-old Gavin, who is also suffering from cancer, she knows that he is what she wants, and she wants more than just sex, she wants love. Gavin tries to push Taylor away, thinking that the age difference is too big, but Taylor isn’t about to let him get away. Can Taylor and Gavin really have a relationship? Is the stress too much for a man in Gavin’s position? And how long do they have left together? This was a real tear-jerker contemporary romance, and I really enjoyed it. Taylor knew what she wanted and went for it, which I really admired. I couldn’t really blame her for not wanting to die a virgin, and I totally got what she meant when she realised that she didn’t just want sex, she wanted love. I admired how strong she was though, and how open she was with Gavin, and was happy to give him her love, even when he pushed her away. The storyline in this was sad but good. Gavin did annoy me a bit with his refusal to even kiss Taylor, even though he wanted to, and I was like ‘Come on! Time is running out!’. The romance in this was sweet though, and I really liked it. I liked the way that Taylor flirted with Gavin, and how sweet they were together. I did think that when Gavin finally changed his mind he maybe went a bit overboard, but when you’re dying you’ve got to seize the day I suppose! The ending was bittersweet, but what can you really expect from a book where the main characters have cancer? I thought that it was done really well though, and we did get a much better ending than I thought we would. I would recommend this to anyone who likes contemporary romance, especially those that enjoy a good tear-jerker. Overall; a tear-jerker contemporary romance. 7 out of 10.

A Taylor-Made Life is the start to a series of books and what a start it is.  This first book is the story of Taylor and Gavin who meet, fall in love, and... Oh wait. No things are not quit that easy.  Taylor Smith is a seventeen year old girl, who's got a bad case of cancer and is on the precipice of dying unless a bone marrow donor can be found.  Things do not look good for a future, so Taylor wants to knock a few things off her bucket list as it were before she succumbs to the illness.  First thing she wants, to lose her virginity.  She enlists the help of her mother to achieve this.  Gavin Taylor, a man battling his own brand of cancer, is looking for someone to love him. Someone to care about him and miss him, not just love the money he is made of or the company he's in charge of.   He enlists a celebrity matchmaker to help with this.  Gavins doctor signs him up for a cancer mentoring program which pairs the gaming mogul with Taylor.  When Taylor discovers who is upon his first contact, she has decided he is the ONE!  Sparks fly for Gavin upon their first meeting as well, but he is determined that all they will have between them is friendship. Taylor plans to change his mind.  During Gavin's original visit with Taylor, news comes to light that he is a marrow match, and if he did not have cancer himself, he could be her savior.  Following up to this, it is determined that any child conceived between the two would be an almost perfect match.   As their friendship progresses, Gavin does not want to lose Taylor in his life, so he invites her and her mother to go home with him for a visit.  Eventually Gavin gives in to his feelings, after Taylor's 18th birthday party, and they wed.  They also decide that using their banked eggs and sperm, they will try for a baby, which Taylor's mother will be the surrogate for.   I love the dynamic between Gavin and Taylor, they are absolutely two halves to a whole.  They take everything in stride, and live their lives to the fullest, knowing that every day could be their last.  I laughed with them, I cried with them, and I wanted to throw a few punches at certain business partners a few times.   This book truly touched me, and I'm glad I read it.  I cannot wait to see what comes next for Taylor and her son.  A Taylor-Made Life by Kary Rader is one of those bittersweet, 'you will absolutely cry throughout' books.  You will not be disappointed.  *I recieved a copy from the author for an honest review*
