A Throne for Sisters (Book One) by Morgan Rice

“Morgan Rice's imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!”

--Books and Movie Reviews (Roberto Mattos)

From #1 Bestseller Morgan Rice comes an unforgettable new fantasy series.

In A THRONE FOR SISTERS (Book one), Sophia, 17, and her younger sister Kate, 15, are desperate to leave their horrific orphanage. Orphans, unwanted and unloved, they nonetheless dream of coming of age elsewhere, of finding a better life, even if that means living on the streets of the brutal city of Ashton.

Sophia and Kate, also best friends, have each other’s backs—and yet they want different things from life. Sophia, a romantic, more elegant, dreams of entering court and finding a noble to fall in love with. Kate, a fighter, dreams of mastering the sword, of battling dragons, and becoming a warrior. They are both united, though, by their secret, paranormal power to read other’s minds, their only saving grace in a world that seems bent to destroy them.

As they each embark on a quest and adventure their own ways, they struggle to survive. Faced with choices neither can imagine, their choices may propel them to the highest power—or plunge them to the lowest depths.

A THRONE FOR SISTERS is the first book in a dazzling new fantasy series rife with love, heartbreak, tragedy, action, magic, sorcery, fate and heart-pounding suspense. A page turner, it is filled with characters that will make you fall in love, and a world you will never forget.

Book #2—A COURT FOR THIEVES—is also now available!

“[A THRONE FOR SISTERS is a] powerful opener to a series [that] will produce a combination of feisty protagonists and challenging circumstances to thoroughly involve not just young adults, but adult fantasy fans who seek epic stories fueled by powerful friendships and adversaries.”

Omg. This book sounded sooooo good! It was written so badly though! No character development, they would go off into one story line and then cut it off and never return to it! Everything the girls did in the book was soooo easy for them, oh you have a dream? Bloop! Dream come true! This book was so random at parts that I would be reading on waiting for it to circle back to the original topic and nothing ever happened! One part even showed you a person who seemed really important and then they were killed? Drowned? Lost? Who knows! It never tells you! I will NOT being reading anything else in the series I was seriously disappointed ?

The plot is solid. The story however is ruined by overly simplistic or just completely unrealistic scenes. I understand it's fantasy, but the reality of your "world" has to work and it just doesn't.

Found the book to be a sleeper. Even though this is for young readers I dont beleve it would hold their interest.

I really enjoyed reading it but several times it refers to sexual stuff. It also has some mild languge saying da** and b****. I would not recommend this to people under fourteen.

Entertaining but characters not developed. Id rather read one book then a series.

The book wasn’t bad, decent plot a little slow. But kept plugging along. And guess what book ends with twin cliffhangers. So I will NOT be buying anything else.

Catches your interest from the first page but really leaves you hanging at the last. It’s good to know there is another installment on the way!?

Her writing is amazing. Very easy to get lost in what you picture going on. I could see me in the scenarios she presented

Just not my kind of story to read...not believable enough.

I like the makings of the story and stayed intrigued through out, however as many others have noted before, the timeline is incredibly fast for it to be realistic; even for fantasy. There are tons of editorial errors, I’m not sure if it’s just my nook or if the actually book was published this way. Quick entertaining read, I will continue to read the others.

Two orphan sisters. One a girly romantic, the other tough and clever. One sister's story is pretty much the same pauper to princess stuff that's been told time and again...but it happens SO fast! The story just seems to move in fits and starts. One minute you're running from the nuns, the next minute you're engaged to a prince. Predictable and poorly written, I found myself skimming thru the last 100 or so pages. It was free on Nook, and if the rest of the series were free I might skim those also, but I wouldn't pay for them.

I found it to be somewhat tedious. I've read her books before and enjoyed them more. But I am going on to book two. Hoping for more!

This book will cause you to stand up and cheer for both sisters to have their dreams come true. The ending leaves you in panic as to what happens to their special gift and lives. I cannot wait for the next saga.

The cover is beautiful and title intriguing. I was waiting to be engrossed by the story telling and was left disappointed. Sadly I will not be reading the next book.

This book included a couple swear words (b**** ). If this bothers, then don't read this book. Over all this is a good book that makes you wonder and hope. If you love fantasy and action, and don't mind getting a little emotional, then this is the book for you!
