Really love this short story. Very sweet and great characters. The second story sounds to be a good beginning of the new series. I have enjoyed all of Erica Ridley's books that I have read.

A suspenseful and satisfying Regency romance short story I was highly entertained by this second chance romance. Erica Ridley was on top of her game when writing this one. This short story had high stakes gambling, a likeable bluestocking heroine, a nice guy below her social station, and a happily ever after. What a great combination! I highly recommend this as a short, satisfying read to all Regency romance fans. There was no sex but there is plenty of passion. It only has about 25 pages of text plus a preview of the novel "Lord of Chance". FYI, this short story was previously published in "Premiere: A Romance Writers of America Collection Book 1".

Soooooo...how is she going to marry this guy? Her guardian hates his guts. I guess if you enjoy giving your own ending to the story, since it leaves a lot to be questioned... Personally I want my 20 minutes back.

I expected a book and got a short story. It was a decent short story... But short.

Disappointed. I've read books by this author before so I'm left scratching my head at how she could write this utterly pathetic 40 pages of hokeyness (just coined a new word).

Lady Matilda Kingsley has only ever wanted Major Owen Turner but doesn't know if he wants her as well. Lady Matilda is forced to play a game of cards against Owen by her cousin Lord Addington. Lord Addington wants to humiliate Owen by making Lady Matilda be his weapon. Will Lord Addington succeed? Will Lady Matilda let things unsaid between her and Owen? Will Owen admit his feelings? Your answers await you in All I Want. This novella fits very well in the Dukes of War Series. I'm a big fan of Erica Ridley's writing and characters. The story and characters are unique, complex, raw, honest, compelling, and real. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

All I Want by Erica Ridley is a very short story, a perfect lunch break read and a good choice for those with limited time for reading. This is a well written, clean, historical romance. I loved the characters. Matilda and Owen's story may be short, but it's packed with drama. I enjoyed All I Want and look forward to my next read by Erica Ridley. All I Want is book 8 of the Dukes Of War Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

What a delightful second chance at love story set during the Napoleonic Wars. And, when I checked the major sites this short story was free on all sites so a gift to the reader with the addition of the first chapter of a new series soon out by the author. Major Owen Turner and Lady Matilda Kingsley were friends from a very young age. With him back in town after four years away there is a game of chance that might change both of their lives and it all depends on the cards. I have to say that this was a sweet, fun, story that made me smile and left me happy. It was a gift from the author and as such was a very nice one, indeed.
