You are not alone.
Always Within; Grieving the Loss of Your Infant is like having a caring and compassionate support group at your fingertips. It's a compilation of stories from people who have had to endure such a loss. Over twenty parents have dedicated their time and energy to recount the events of the moments before and after their losses to help guide and alleviate some of the pain and confusion often associated with unexpected miscarriages and/or infant loss.
Most parents who experience a loss of this nature have no idea what to do or where to turn. Always Within; Grieving the Loss of Your Infant is a stepping stone towards healing.
Each chapter includes:
*An individual heartfelt story to help inspire and comfort those who have lost or know someone who has.
*Helpful advice from people who have been there, on how to cope with the devastating loss of a pregnancy or infant.
*Thoughts on what family and friends can do and say to help during such a difficult time.
*Ideas on how grieving parents can keep their child's memory alive through the years.
*A comforting poem, quote or bible verse.

Whether you have lost a child of your own or know someone who has this book is a must read. Melissa has compiled many touching stories from families who have lost a child, some recently and some not so recent. After losing my daughter to SIDS over 23 years ago I still found inspiration in Melissa's touching book. Reading the accounts of others who have been through the horror of losing a child and still coming through in one piece brings hope and a sense of peace. Anyone who is involved with families who have lost a child should recommend this wonderful book as a tool to help with the grieving process. Thank you Melissa for writing this book. You are truly an angel!
We purchased this book for a friend who recently lost her newborn baby. There are really no words for a situation like this but this book offers support like no other. When the book arrived, I couldn't put it down as I read about the strength and courage these parents have had to muster during their times of grief. Each chapter written by parents who have gone through this, includes ways family and friends can help and I read all of them. It's a must have book for families facing such a tragedy. It even gave me hope and made me pause in reflection for all the beauty in my life. This would be a great book for doctors and counselors to have on hand as well.
