OMG!!!!   WHAT A WELL WRITTEN AND RIGHT ON TIME BOOK!!!  I COULD NOT READ THIS BOOK FAST ENOUGH.  EVERYTIME I STOPPED TO DO AN ERRAND OR TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS, MY MIND KEEP DRIFTING BACK TO THIS BOOK.  I NEEDED AND WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BRIANNA.  THIS WAS AN ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT PAGE TURNER.  BOY, WAS I GLAD I DOWNLOADED BOTH BOOKS IN THIS SERIES.  WOW, I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING IN THE WORLD TODAY.  EVERY YOUNG PERSON WHO USES  FACEBOOK NEEDS TO READ AND REREAD THIS BOOK.  SOMETHINGS ARE EASY TO GET INTO, BUT SO SO HARD TO GET OUT OF.  I THINK THIS SHOULD BE MANDATORY READING FOR EVERY GRADE SCHOOL STUDENT.  AGAIN, MY HAT GOES OFF TO, PAMELA SAMUEL-YOUNG, FOR A JOB WELL DONE.  I AM OFF TO START READING EVERY REASONABLE DOUBT.

This is an excellent book. I love the way Ms Young wrote it--in a day-by-day, blow-by-blow almost like a diary of the events. I was captured. I was compelled. Although the story is sad, the topic is heartbreaking, it is a very well written and very informative book. You will not be disappointed.

Donna Walker has kept a very tight leash on her only child Brianna. When Brianna receives an iPhone for her birthday, Donna immediately flies into a tirade about the internet and perverts. Despite Donna’s warnings, Brianna manages to have a secret social media life, which also includes boyfriend Jaden. What could possibly go wrong with this scenario? Angela Evans is no longer working with the US Attorney’s office. After being news herself with an ex turned stalker and drug dealer, she’s now working as an attorney trying to help young girls who are being prostituted. Pamela Samuels Young has crafted an incredibly well-written novel. This book is emotionally difficult to read, but well worth the trouble. Readers are fully brought into the plot as children are forced into a world of human trafficking. ANYBODY’S DAUGHTER is just that, anybody’s daughter. With sex being such big business, pimps have gone from being selected to these new Guerilla pimps who have taken to kidnapping and forcing children into the depravity of sex. My heart broke for each and every child as I read this book. I thought about all of the teens posted on FB on a daily basis missing and wonder if they’ve been found or fallen into a fate such as this. We all expect technology to make life easier, but it seems it’s making it easier for the wrong things. Reviewed by: Crystal

An intense read. Did I enjoy this book: I loved it. Welcome to the white-knuckled monster of a thrill ride through Brianna’s horrific experience with the child sex trade industry. Keep your hands, arms, legs, and feet in the car at all times. Pull down on your safety harness until you hear a click. Then prepare to experience a well-researched, highly relevant portrayal of one of the most important issues of all times. You’ll be raced through a heart-pounding emotional journey of dread, fear, excitement, and sadness with beautifully developed characters. Get ready to stare down the most repugnant bad guys in literature and cheer for the most admiral heroes in the park. It’s that intense from cover to cover. And when you come to a screeching halt, head still spinning; you’ll even be greeted with the gift of questions for book group discussions. Would I recommend it: 100% yes. Will I read it again: I understand that this is the second in the Angela Evans series. I’ll probably read the first book in the series, Buying Time next. MANDATORY READING There are books that are interesting due to the ‘what if’ factor of the content. Then there are books like Anybody’s Daughter by Pamela Samuels Young that lives within the souls of its readers. Although a work of fiction, this novel goes to the heart of the matter of what most believe happens only in third-world countries. It is the story of a young girl who sets out meet who she considers to be the boy of her dreams. That meeting turns into the nightmare of her life as she is plunged into the world of human trafficking and child prostitution. The content of this book is raw and very real. That reality supported by facts makes this a compelling and necessary read for parents and guardians. It should also be shared with and discussed with children. Most would say it isn’t for the faint-of-heart. For those who fit that category, it would serve well to ‘buck up’ and read. Why? Because what we don’t know and aren’t teaching our children can hurt them. Author Samuels-Young is to be commended for exposing the depth of this fast-growing industry.
