The truth of Sufism is determined by the presence of two main factors: the first is the direct inner experience of communication between the servant and his Lord, then the possibility of union between the Sufi and the divine power. The Sufi experience belongs to a special faculty other than reason and logic through which communication takes place and in which the self is united with the object, and in which glimpses and illumination take the place of perceptions, judgments and propositions....
