Once again I'm hooked. I just love the character even when I get upset with them. It keeps you on the edge, wondering what's going to happen next. I can't wait to read the next book. Keep it up Tasha Black.

Ms. Black has done it again! Raising the proverbial bar for not just everyone else, but also for herself ;) LOL .... She continues to boggle my mind with her superb writing, and unique storylines, with wonderfully developed characters and masterful descriptions and details to keep you engaged & the pages flying by :D .... I never write reviews that recap or give spoilers, coz there's plenty that will. But I do promise this book & the first one in this series, will knock your socks off! ... I read the whole thing during a busy day in 2 sittings, putting off other things I should have been doing instead :o LOL ... If you love any or all of these genres: romance, suspense, paranormal & shifter, even some fantasy & sci-fi are skillfully woven into a multi-genre contemporary fiction, phenomenal, creative must read book for you :D

SPIES, SUPERHERO, SHIFTERS, NANO TECH AND LOVE .A GREAT STORY LINE.. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT, February 21, 2016 I WAS GIVEN THIS STORY FOR AN HONEST REVIEW I was so happy to get the second book of this series, and can't wait for the next. Westley Worthington (West), billionaire , used to everything he wants being his - like yesterday, must now learn to adapt to his new world and earn what he always took for granted. Cordelia Cross (Cord) never had much an now supports her mom, disabled sister(Jess), all the medical bills for her sisters accident that left her unable to walk. Now she loves her boss and must help him become the man he never though he could be. West and Jess have their own secrets that are helping each other out- she is turning him into a superhero and helping him clean up their town. She is excited to have a job to do and the funds to do it right, he wants to prove he is good enough for Cord, that he has changed his playboy attitude and really cares about more then his pleasures. Edward Dalton , West best friend and head of security, with a few secrets of his own ( with the main one that West has no ideal of but now Cord does, though it was accident that she found out and may still be having a problem facing what she knows) is missing and they must work together to find him as she knows he needs help. I'm happy that so far I still think I guessed the end enemy will be. Can West pull his self together in time to fix his terrible mistake before someone is really hurt (and it made be him physically and emotionally )? Will Cord face her fears and be honest with West about how she feels and why she is pushing him away before it is to late and she makes a big mistake of her own/ To bad that West really has no one who when his mouth overloads his rear end that will call him on it but Jess and sometimes Cord. Now he has mistreated them who will stand up an lead him the right way, he does love them both.

A riveting read from start to finish.... I feel like it's been forever since I've last read a book from Tasha Black, when really it's only been a few months. So I couldn't wait to jump into 'Augmented', book 2 in Tasha's "Building a Hero" Trilogy, please start with book 1 so you don't miss out on what happens previously. Again I was instantly drawn into the story, taken back to where I finished in book 1, memories rushing forward to remind me as to what happened, reading through the story as if it was only 60 pages long (it's far larger than that). I quickly finished. The ending in this book left me with so many questions, it's not funny.... I feel like Tasha loves nothing more than to leave us with CLIFFHANGERS. The action, intrigue, fights... everything within just holding you, keeping you hostage until that last page, when you keep trying to turn the page & none come forth. Where you want to throw your book/ereader hard against the floor. Hmmm that seems like I didn't like book 2... I FLOVED it & can't wait to read what comes next for West & Cordelia. P.S. I do hate that it's meant to be a trilogy though.

Augmented: Building A Hero (Book 2) is the follow-up book in this captivating series by Tasha Black. In book two the author gives the reader more of an insight to the three main characters. Edward Dalton is being held prisoner by a paramilitary organization who is seeking to learn from him, how he can control the changes that were made to him. Westley Worthington is trying to adjust to his new life while trying to win the affections of the woman he loves. Cordelia Cross is torn between duty to her family and her own happiness with the man she loves. Tasha Black once again holds the reader’s attention with an enthralling plot and likable characters. The characters chemistry comes through in the interactions they have with each other. In this book the reader also begins to understand Edward Dalton’s history while cheering for the blossoming romance between Westley and Cordelia. As a reader of this series I am looking forward to the next installment of this exciting series.

Amazing storyline, amazing characters. Cordelia is still having trouble with the bite on her hand. The bite and her feeling edward is in trouble seems to be connected. So she checked out Edwards apartment. Finding it trashed and blood on the floor. West joined her. West seems to be a whole new set of problems for Cord her feeling for him keeps her from thinking clearly and there is the huge wall of trust issues she has about him. Can she trust him with her heart? Maybe but not with her sister's heart or well being. West is going overboard with his helping out the city as a type of super hero/ do gooder getting hurt left and right. And that's just the tip of this amazing story. It's just wow. More twists and turns and intrigue then you can handle lol and the danger is still growing! I can't wait of the next book. Tasha is the queen of intrigue and excitement. It's a must read! Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Cordelia is helping West get through the changes to his body after his accident. West is getting used to the upgrades to his body. Jess is trying to talk West into using his new and improved powers to help clean up the neighborhood. Dalton is on vacation. Mallory is smart and entertaining and constantly working to improve West's nanoparts. Meanwhile, Cordelia and West figure out that Dalton is missing and try and figure out what they can do. West and Cordelia are falling for each other but, will the miss communications between them pull them apart. This is an excellent continuation from book one in this series and may give us a new superhero. I loved the twists and turns, the adventure, the suspense, the humorous banter. The high tech drama is new for shifter books so that is really an intriguing addition to this story. I had to finish this book in one setting because I was drawn into the storyline and now I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
