I LOVE the 'Beautiful Bastard' series!!! Niall & Ruby were a great addition! It took me a bit to get over Niall's nurosis. I was yelling at him to suck it up and claim her already, but in the end I got over it and fell in love with his quiet way of being. I cannot wait for a Will & Hanna novella or for more new characters to fall in love!

4.5 stars — I loved it loved it loved it. There was something so sweet and sassy and bold and vulnerable about it. It felt a little different too, probably because our characters were a bit odd, and they occasionally followed a different path than I was expecting. As a romance reader you come to predict certain things, and while some things went as expected, sometimes our main characters took a more meandering path and that was kind of fun. Ruby was hilarious!! She seemed very down to earth, and I loved that while she had nerves and was silly and crazy, she was also very aware of who she was and what she wanted. She had confidence in some things, and she didn’t shy away from hard conversations. I was all team Ruby for most of the book. I appreciated her struggle between understanding that Niall wouldn’t move at the same pace and feeling insecure regardless of that understanding. I appreciated that she didn’t let anyone walk all over her, and she pretty much embraced herself and who she was. For someone younger, she felt very self-aware. My only gripe is that after the conflict and stuff, I wasn’t impressed when she yet again rubbed Niall’s bad choices in his face in the resolution. I mean, part of it was trying to explain herself, but it also felt like one extra dig, you know? I thought Niall suffered enough. Niall was freaking ADORABLE. I think I heard of this book on a list of beta heroes, and OMG Niall is so my kind of hero. He was even more beta than I was expecting! Sometimes I think I’m going to get a beta hero, and then they just turn out to be an alpha in disguise. And while once he opened up and got over some roadblocks, he could be aggressive in bed, it was his personality out of bed that just had me swooning all over his awkwardness. I felt so bad for the number that his ex-wife did on him, but I did appreciate that he didn’t shy away from acknowledging his own mistakes in that relationship. I groaned and squirmed when he made missteps, but he was just so freaking earnest and wanted to change and be better. And I felt like I truly saw that growth. The two of them together lit my book on fire. Which is funny since their sexual escapades took a rather circuitous route. I appreciated their journey, and holy hell were so many of their encounters ridiculously hot. And I really felt like we got to see them connect on a deeper level. So many times I find that missing, but I really felt all of their connections in this one. And my heart ached for the struggles that they went through, but I understood how their journey progressed as it did…it made sense for them and the growing they each needed to do individually. I ADORED the brief glimpses of friends. It makes me desperately want to read more books in this series. Max, Will, Bennett, and Chloe were awesome. I seriously laughed and laughed and have wishlisted all those books. And I loved Ruby’s conversations with her BFF London, please tell me she has a book too!! I do wish Tony had gotten more of a comeuppance, but sometimes reality doesn’t work like you want it to. So yeah. LOVED this. Just everything I was looking for. But damn, I really hate reading paperbacks now. Gonna have to see if I can find more books by these authors at my library.

In my personal opinon, this was the best book in the series so far. The book starts out with Ruby going to a meeting as an intern at a very high up British office. She has had a crush on Niall, one of the boss's there since the first day she came. She finds out that he is recently divorced from his marriage of 15 years. Then her boss sends her off with Niall to New York for business plans, it is a dream come true for Ruby. Niall doesn't really know who Ruby is. He has seen her around the office from time to time, but he doesn't really know her. On the way to New York, Ruby gets into very embarrassing situations, I won't tell you what they are so I don't give you any spoilers, but let me just say, you will feel bad for Ruby! As they spend time together, Niall starts to see Ruby differently. But he has a lot of baggage from his past marriage with his wife. Baggage that he doesn't think Ruby (who is extremely independent) would want to deal with. It is a lot of baggage but can Ruby deal with it? As always, Christina Lauren writes some of the sweetest love scenes, and this book is no different. It's just swoon worthy (especially that last chapter). For some reason I found it more swoon worthy than any of the others. Now the thing about that book is that is is quite graphic at some parts, and each to their own, but I personally would not recommend this to anyone under 15.

I loved all the beautiful series and was so happy when this one came out because I had thought the series was over and that made me sad, forcing me to re-read all the other books. But this came out I had pre ordered it and now its in the running for favorite in the series. Hard choice seeming how I love them all. SERIOUSLY!

I truly enjoyed this entire series. This one, probably the least, but still a great book and part of a great series. Niall and Ruby just didn't quite engage me as much as the rest of the characters, but I certainly would read them all in order and include this one as well.

I loved the other 3 books in the series this one not so much. I didn't feel connected to the characters. Getting ready to read last book in filthy series now. So far my favorites are Mia/Ansil and Will/Hanna. I do like their work though!

Frame work about same as the Jane Austin novel, but the Elizabeth character belonged to the filthy series more the the beautiful series. It became more normal toward the end and redeemed itself. I would have liked some closure with the Tony character. Story seems to lead itself to a sequal., which would be great.

You know how to draw your readers into the story. I've read them all and this one was a little different with the crazy neroisis of both these extrememly intellectual characters and it was AMAZING! I felt them all the way to my bones and in my heart! SO SO GOOD!!! Thank you for your great work Christina and Lauren...you rock!

AudioBook Review: Stars Overall 4 Story 4 Narration 5 Ruby is an engineer at Richardson-Corbett: one of the new young engineering stars, her six months at the company have been full of successes and one little secret: she has an all-out, must-know-every-detail-about-him, bordering on stalker crush on Niall. Who doesn’t know she exists, despite the fact they work together. Niall is an ordinary and unassuming guy who just had his life tossed upside down with a divorce from his high-school sweetheart. While not contentious, the two just grew apart and out of love, Niall’s self-confidence has taken a beating. He’s never been the player or the aggressive one, he thinks (and overthinks) everything in minute detail, leaving him waiting in the wings, if he even dares step on the stage. When an extended assignment to New York City puts these two in daily, close proximity, Ruby can’t help but to flirt shamelessly with Niall on the flight, making sure he sees her interest. From that first moment to the last, Ruby and Niall are adorable together. She’s by far the outgoing and more aggressive one, and she pokes, prods and cajoles Niall into trying new things and stretching his wings. Not really a daring sort of guy, Niall slowly comes around to stretch the boundaries of his comfort zone, even daring to experiment with his own curiosities and fantasies. Their relationship developed with a steady arc: Ruby is more open to saying what she thinks and going for it, and at times poor Niall was shocked to think that women behaved that way, or that HE was of interest. His naiveté and lack of experience for all but the most basic sexual acts was cute, especially when he dares to take a chance and try. The Steam! Grab a cold drink because the relationship build becomes a steamy, sweaty fire! Another wonderful story from this author duet that has me running out to get the earlier installments! Narration for this story is provided by the team of Charlotte Penfield and Jonathan Cole. These two have perfect timing: able to adjust timing to ’feel’ as if you are listening in to a conversation. Smooth transitions from “inside” to “outside’ voices, clear and distinct vocal qualities for each new character and a sense that the narrators are enjoying the story as they perform it, this was a wonderful listen and I went through it in one day. Frankly, you can’t really go wrong with a book from this author duo, and their narrators are always spot on. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Simon and Schuster Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I love the Beautiful series and this installment did not disappoint. Niall was little uptight but since he's British and went through a bitter divorce so it was expected. Ruby was fun and exciting, a real breath of fresh air, and helped Niall come out of his shell. There romance was a little slower to build but once it did wow! These two were steamy! Don't miss this great read.

These two ladies know how to weave you into a story. So much so, you feel that desperate need for release or feel what ever they are feeling at that moment. They pull you in! And when you read that last sentence at the end of the book, you sit there completely dumbfounded because it's over. That is the wonder and beauty of reading these books! You will Not be able to put them down until you are done.

I love the writing duo, Christina Lauren! The Beautiful books are so well written and awesome! This book introduces us to Niall, a Brit who works at an engineering firm. He has been with one woman, a girl he's known since he was a child. He has recently divorced and has no idea how to act or talk comfortably to women. Ruby is an intern at the firm and has had a crush on Niall for months. When they travel together to New York for business, a relationship starts to bloom. Niall is so closed off emotionally and Ruby was raised by two psychologists and talks about feelings and emotions. She is very paitent with Niall until he accepts an invite from his ex-wife to have a talk. AWESOME READ! I hope there are many, many more books!!

Ruby Miller, an intern in London is given the chance of a lifetime at work. She's offered to go on a business trip for a month with a hottie that she can't help but be awkward around due to her attraction. Normally she goes mute and loses all her train of thought when he's around, so I knew it was going to be an interesting month for Ruby. Niall Stella, the hottie that she's going to New York with is one of top in his field. If anything is built in London he's pretty much the go to man for input. So she's in capable hands, and will probably learn a thing or two. During the plane ride, Ruby shows a bit too much of herself to Niall after a wardrobe mishap. It made me laugh but cringe at the same time, poor girl. Niall Stella is a divorced man that dedicates himself fully to his career. Not one to date after his divorce, he isn't quite sure what to do with Ruby. He is attracted to her, but isn't one to rush into a relationship. So they both play it slow even though both wants to speed it up but doesn't want to at the same time. It left me a bit frustrated with Niall's character, though I understand why he would want to take it slow. I don't however consider everything besides sex taking it slow. Beautiful Secret was a great book, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it even though I gave it a 3.5. The content was on par with the rest of the series but it just wasn't right for me. Each book seems to revolve around a type of different character. We've had the public sex characters, the girl + brother's friend, and now we have one that wants it slow with some dirty talk. I'm not so into that, but I still managed to read this book super fast if that tells you anything (ie: it's good!). If you've been a fan of the series, or want to read about a sexy British man, I suggest you pick up Beautiful Secret.

Love everything these ladies have written so far. These books have funny and sexy all wrapped up and served to us so that you cannot put these books down. I want to reread these books and so will you. Now I am on to Sweet Filthy Boy series and again another funny, sexy, tear jerker that I cannot put down. Exceptional rating is no lie. Worth every star.

You have the pleasure of meeting Niall Stella in Beautiful Beloved (Max and Sara’s novella). He’s self-possessed and collected and says more things to himself than he does to other people. Here’s how Ruby described him: At thirty, he is recently divorced from the woman who was his first everything. He’s also a high-powered urban planning vice president at Richardson-Corbett Consulting. Ruby Miller is a twenty-three year old engineer interning the same firm in hopes of getting a highly coveted spot in Oxford’s civil engineering program. Ruby has a massive crush on Niall that has been simmering for months and months. And her self-control is put to the test when Ruby’s boss sends her on a month-long business trip with the sexy Niall Stella. Startled, Niall Stella took a step back, nearly stumbling into the open doorway, which, coincidentally, was right next to mine. Sharing a wall . . . maybe even a bathroom . . . where he showered . . . naked. I’d heard that this book would give readers a little tie-in to Christina Lauren’s Wild Seasons series. I totally loved the tie-in.  I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t exactly love it either. I have mixed feelings. I didn’t warm up to Niall Stella. His British accent is super dreamy and I melted every time he called Ruby darling, but I didn’t fall in love with him like I did the other Beautiful Bastard men. Ruby’s constant reminders in the beginning of the book about how much she’s pined for Niall was over the top.  Once he admits that he’s attracted to her, she lays the flirting on thick, making it her mission to seduce him into sleeping with her. While Niall is reluctant to take things really slowly considering his recently-divorced status. I didn’t like the way that Niall was portrayed as this kind of virginal non-virgin man who has “never done that before.” I feel like there is so much the authors could have mined so much from his back story and position of authority over Ruby instead of what they did. I just didn’t click with Ruby and Niall as a couple unfortunately. *I received an advanced copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I read Secret the day it was published. I've waited to post my review so I could read it again to see if my opinion changed. I LOVE Christina Lauren books and have read all of them. I'm not sure if the bar was set impossibly high with Bennett, Max and then my favorite Will, but I just couldn't fall for Niall like I did the others. He was so emotionally unavailable, understadably from his past, that he was so caught up with what was happening in his life he was blind to Ruby's feelings and the damage he was causing her. On the other hand, Ruby is an open book, giving her heart freely with no sense of self preservtion. I wanted to smack both of them several times throughout the book and was glad Ruby finally found her backbone, she could learn a few things from Chloe. In the end, I'm glad they found their HEA but wish there would have been an epilogue to give us something beyond the night of their reunion. Still hoping for another Will and Hanna book!!
