I received a free ARC of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I started this series hoping I would like it. Especially considering I kept buying each book without knowing if I actually would like the first one. I am soooo glad I did. When I got approved for this book from Netgalley I knew it was finally time to dive in. This series is go so good. This book is an awesome conclusion of a series of trouble and the start of what I honestly hope is several more books. I don't think I will get my way on that but a girl can hope. The characters had more growth. Things aren't swept under the rug in this series, actual problems are tackled. I love the main characters and side characters. You also get to meet more side characters and let me tell you Eli I hope there is a whole slew of books with him in them. He seem like a pip. Can't wait to continue this series with more amazing books.

Being Alpha (Alpha Girl #7) by Aileen Erin This book is not entirely a stand alone book, yes new readers can get into the story but there are a fair number of references to prior books, and prior stories. It's like coming in to the middle of a series, enough explanation to understand whats going on but a lot of stuff that happened before. Being Alpha is about coming into what you are made to be. She ties many sides together, Tessa has a lot going for her. She was raised human, learned to be a witch, and then was bitten now she is a werewolf. She has found her mate, and had her wedding in prior books, now she has to deal with a demon. The problem, he’s tied to her… And he wants to come over and destroy everything. Not just her life but the world. She can only use her connections are they enough to form a new bond that will block the other dimension. A nail biting story.

Happily newly wed Tessa and Dastien want nothing more than to enjoy their honeymoon and, for once, not think about the pack or demons or crazy witches. But, when Tessa almost dies, there is no way they can stay away from home any longer. Coming back makes it clear that Tessa has a problem, a big one. A demon is attached to her and he wants her power, all of her power. That means she will be dead, if Dastien and the other pack members can't help her get rid of this demon. This is one of my favorite shifter series and I can't wait for the next book to come out. Highly recommended series!

Aileen Erin leads the pack with book seven in the Alpha girl series, BEING ALPHA. The story starts out on Tessa met Dastien honeymoon in the Caribbean. Tessa is supernaturally attacked and the couple head home to Texas to investigate the occurrence. Tessa and friends cannot catch a break. So much has happened in this series in a very short timeframe. Just when they think that everything is finally going to settle down, something else pops up. The supernatural community is a mess, and it is up to Tessa to stop an apocalypse, no pressure. Thank goodness she has a lot of reliable friends. I love the addition of Samanth Lopez and Eli. Both have interesting qualities and add a lot the novel. I’m looking forward to seeing how they evolve in future stories; especially Eli, who stirred up some things at the end of the novel. I am really looking forward to book eight, LUNAR COURT. Tessa has grown tremendously throughout this series. She still fights the idea of becoming an Alpha, despite the fact that she’s a natural at it. She is an amazing character that does not give up and puts others before herself. Aileen Erin did an astounding job with BEING ALPHA. It is full of non-stop action. It is thrilling from beginning to end. The story was original and interesting throughout. Followers of the Alpha Girl series will love this novel. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This one started out slow but the pacing improved a lot in the last half so if you have followed the rest of the series you will not want to miss this one. Another part of this book is it sets up a continuation of the series but focused on secondary characters they we already know while introducing a few new one.
