OK so i love regina doman and all of her books, but this edition on nook is very messed up. I bought Black as Night, and received Shadow of the Bear, which i love but was not what i wanted. I went a BN store and got a refund and they the publisher is working on the problem and hopes to correct it. They also said to get the sample and if the sample has the right stoery than it is fixed. No luck yet

Awesome! I loved the friars right away! It was really neat for me, rereading this a couple years after I first read it, as I've actually met some of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal since then. There were some parts of this book that made me laugh out loud, while others sent shivers up my spine. Of Regina Doman's books, I can't tell which is my favorite. They are all so spectacular! I highly recommend this book. Every teen or adult should read it. Note: This is an older edition of the book, and it has had a few revisions since this was published. No big, dramatic change, though.

I read the first of this series earlier this year. When I saw this book at the library I was like, Oh cool I guess I'll try it. And the what did I think? I loved it! But you have to read the first book, 'Shadow of the Bear' before this one. I would recommend this book to many of my friends and I'm not even Catholic (did I spell that write?)!

I love this book so much That It's not even funny. Regina Doman is one of my favorite authors.. 2nd Best to Roald Dahl... and he's number 1. She puts a healthy spin one catholisism, and on bad events

In a world filled with so many complex media images confronting our families, it¿s a simple pleasure as a parent to be able to share a book with your teen. The trick is finding the right book and getting the teen to agree to read it. Author Regina Doman has made this trick a little less challenging by writing a series of books that are both engaging and appropriate for teen (and ¿grown up¿) readers. The title of Doman¿s latest installment may sound a bit dark on the surface, but the story abounds with a light and faith that transcends the classic fairy tale it is based on. I had the opportunity to share this book with my thirteen year old son, who joins me in highly recommending it to other families.

It always brings me such joy to read these Fairy Tales Retold by Regina Doman. It is so hard to find good fiction these days and I find these books exceptional because I recognize both the fairy tales and the real life setting. I also am overjoyed to find books about Catholics. I squealed out loud the first time I saw the word "tabernacle" in a book I was reading for pure pleasure. Thank you so much for writing these Regina Doman.

Black as night is a great story centered on bear and blance(or nora as she called herself) . In the begining she chased to an old church where seven friars take her in. Then bear and fish get arrested for drug possesion. Join the characters new and old as they reveal more about themsevles and Bear learn his vocation
