I hate these kind of novellets said to be books they give you the good opening and set up the players and then take you to the climax and end the so called book guess what a book has an end with things tied off this let me disapponted because it was only half a book. It sends up the red flags that you have to cut up a book and really the way it was left dosen't make me want to read on.

If you love young adult fantasy, you won't want to miss out on this one!   Terah Edun is able to create a magical world full of adventure. She is able to set up a new series in the same world as her previous series, but with a different tone and cadence so that it has its own unique signature in the world of fantasy.   This was a great first book to a new series and I am excited to see what this author comes out with next.   As an avid fantasy reader, I am definitely hooked!

So, the first pages were promising. I was engaged, interested in the story. The heroine was just the type I enjoyed reading about, fierce woman warrior with a sassy attitude. But then the book got sloppy. Jumping from scene to scene, random pieces of information thrown in that made no sense and weren’t connected to the plot in any obvious way- it was disappointing to say the least. It feels a bit like a rip off of the throne of glass series too, except the sun mage and Sara are both bits and pieces of Aelin from that series.

Interesting book about a battle mage trying to find out about her fathers death She signs up as a mage and quickly finds out that everything is not as it seems I was sorry to be left in a crisis situation requiring the purchase of other parts a series

Good way to start the story line, you get a great sense of the characters.

I like the story but the writing is rough with no subtlety and the author spells too much out, almost like a childrens book. Still interesting to read

It was amazing writing and kept me reading as long as posible,it also had a good plot and keeps moving thoughout the book. The reason I gave it only four stars is because I think it would be a better book if it included the 2nd book as well as the first,so in other word it was great but needed to be longer.I would totally sugust that you read it if you don't mind paying or you want to just read the first book. I on the other hand will not get the other book because i think it will be too much money.

Slow to start but climbs steadily. Asking or creating more questions than providing answers. Setting you in to the pattern of trying to find the answers.
