Overview

Oh my wow! Maggie & Porter's story is emotional & swoon-worthy. I was cheering so hard for them through their journey to HEA. Grab some tissues because there are some heartfelt moments along the way, along with laughter and messy life lessons. Kait Nolan weaves the perfect blend of family, heartbreak, humor and love at last. Don't miss out! ~USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix

"That girl who got knocked up in high school."

Maggie Reynolds went all the way to Los Angeles to escape that label, but she hears the whispers every time she comes home to Eden's Ridge, Tennessee. She's been burning the candle at both ends for the last twelve years, trying to make something of her herself, trying to give people something else to say about her.

Porter Ingram prides himself on being a steady man, a good friend, but he's none too steady when he flies off to California because Maggie's collapsed from exhaustion and she doesn't want her sister, Pru, to worry. Not when Pru's about to have a baby any minute. What Maggie doesn't know is that she's more than just a good friend to Porter. It's an open secret he's been wearing on his sleeve for years, if she'd only see it.

When Maggie's forced to take a sabbatical from work, the obvious choice is to go home to Tennessee. But there's nothing restful about just doing nothing for a doer like her. Throwing herself into getting the Eden's Ridge Artisan Guild off the ground is a natural fit for her talents, and Porter's grateful for her help. But walking in the shadows of their painful past could reveal secrets that just might destroy everything they think they know about each other.

Finally Maggie and Porter’s story! While I’m sad to see the Misfit Inn series end I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Maggie is such a strong character and she and Porter deserve a chance at happiness. The storyline has twists and turns to keep your interest peaked and I read it non-stop. As usual Kait intertwines the other characters into the story just enough. Looking forward to her next release and hope to see the Misfit Inn characters in other books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Finally we get Maggie's story! And it was as good as I was hoping it would be. Maggie has overworked herself to the point of making herself sick with stress. Little does she know that her life is about to take a drastic turn. Porter comes charging to her side to help. We all need someone like Porter in our lives! She is sent home to her family to rest. Maggie doesn't know how to go that far, but seems to find a mode that allows her to enjoy her personal life as well as work. She and Porter have a few not so secret secrets to reveal. Kait Nolan excels at writing characters that make you want to be part of the family. The book hits all the emotions and gives a very satisfying end. While Maggie is the last sister, I hope there are more visits to the Misfit Inn in the future! I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Bring it on home Kati’s books suck you in and make you invested in her characters’ world. I couldn’t wait for this next installment in the misfit inn series, and this one didn’t disappoint. Maggie and Porter’s story is full of hidden secrets reviled and unexpected plot twists. It was nice to see the rest of the family and what was going on in their lives. Really hard to pick a favorite book from this series I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another great story by Kait Nolan! This one was particularly emotional, bringing tears at several plot points, but they’re the best kind of heart-wrenching tears! I love these characters and also the continuation of the love stories of Maggie’s sisters who we met in previous books. It was really nice to see where those stories led, and the epilogue was just the perfect bow to tie it all together. Definitely recommend (but would recommend reading the rest of the series first)! I have come to love the stories by this talented author and this latest addition to the Misfit Inn series, proves my point. Maggie Reynolds left home after a teenage pregnancy. She not only became a lawyer but is a very successful one in L.A. But when she faints in the middle of a meeting due to total burnout, her boss not only forces her to an extended vacation, but she also contacts Porter Ingram. The boy, now man, who has loved her for over twelve years. He drops everything to pick her up and bring her back home. The story is full of revelations : why Maggie really left, Porter’s life , and so much more. We come to understand Maggie, not as the take charge woman, but as the one who has many emotional scars . Porter is the one that is always there to give her a hand and support her. Even when gossip is still rampant in town, he stands by her. But she never revealed the boy that got her pregnant . Why is that? Does she not trust Porter? It’s a story that is at times heart wrenching and in which all you want to do is hug the main characters. It’s a story about long lasting unconditional love, trust, hope , family and second chances. In the end, will Porter and Maggie find their HEA or will the past once again keep them apart? I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Once again, I have come "home" to the Misfit Inn". Porter and Maggie will (as all Kait Nolan's books do) take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion. I normally think each book she writes is my favorite but, in all honesty, I thin this is most definitely my favorite! I love and adore her writing and the "family" dynamics of each and this is not different!! A definite 5 stars from me.

Almost from the beginning, we could feel the chemistry between Porter and Maggie, and I’m so glad to finally know the story behind it. Mind you, the story’s so juicy, I don’t know what I can really say about it without getting into spoiler territory. Let me just say that this book was a little bit of an emotional roller-coaster ride. I adored Porter. Even when screwed up and behaved like a jerk, it was so easy to see how important Maggie was to him. I loved seeing Maggie learn to be vulnerable with the important people in her life while also learning that burying herself in work wasn’t an appropriate solution for dealing with her past. And what an emotional ending! I admit it, I cried for how sweet and beautiful it was. We may be done with the Reynold’s sisters, but there are still stories in Eden’s Ridge I want to know more about. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
