A Jewish scholar and clinical psychologist, Dr. Geliebter has worked with families, couples, and children, including families of Holocaust survivors. He developed an approach in therapy focusing on resilience as an important life tool.

Dr. Joseph Geliebter drew inspiration from his parents, both of whom were Holocaust survivors and dedicated their lives to rebuilding Jewish life. He wrote a weekly column under the name Chamudei Shai, in a scholarly and popular Israeli weekly periodical Machmadei HaTorah on the weekly Torah portion and holidays.
