Pip is a young orphan boy living with his sister Mrs. Joe and her husband Joe Gargery in the marshes of Kent. One evening Pip sits in the nearby graveyard staring at his parent's tombstones, when out of nowhere a convict pops up from behind the tombstones and grabs Pip.
