Despair wars with hope as a demon, evil incarnate, sends out minions to search for the key that would set it free. It had been imprisoned by Diveneans, a race of mages charged with protecting the world. Suna is the last of her kind, to her knowledge, and the bonds containing the demon and its minions are fading. One key could unleash unspeakable horror on the planet, destroying everything and everyone. With her guardian, Feran, she must find the key and then find a way to defeat the enemy of mankind. The author is a master at weaving a story that keeps the reader enthralled. Suspense, action, and a descriptive style that makes even the setting as vivid and alive as the characters, this book stayed with me, calling to me every time I had to put it down for a short time. The ending left me hungry for more, and I can’t wait to get into the next part of this epic fantasy.
