About the Author

Emma-Jane Barlow is a 27-year-old poet, writer and mental health advocate from the UK. She has been writing poetry since the age of seven and finds comfort in writing about her life experiences. She has a BA Hons Degree in Creative Writing and plans to do her Master’s and PHD in writing. She is a spiritual and sensitive soul that loves to create. Emma-Jane is also the project leader of the First Line Poets Project (@firslinepoets) on Instagram. Darkness & Light is her first poetry collection, and she is already working on her second collection, which will be out in 2021. In her spare time, besides writing, she loves reading, stitching, yoga and playing her guitar and ukulele.
