Denture Adventure: The year I got teeth for my birthday
This book was born from my frustration. When I was considering dentures, I wanted to know everything I could about the process. I hate feeling out of control. Knowledge is power, as they say, and I wanted to know it all. What I found online didn't answer all of my questions. I wanted to know what to expect - everything, from the procedure itself to how to put the teeth in and how it worked to eat with them. I found a number of sites by dentists or manufacturers of dental products. But what I never found, what I really would have liked, was a book like this one. A personal story, from the perspective of someone who went through the process. This is the story of my journey, and an explanation of the stages I went through. I offer it to you, in the hopes that it will help you with your own "Denture Adventure." This book is second in a series entitled "The 7 Stages of Teeth - Dentures Demystified." The first book is "Chopper Optional - recipes for the recently toothless." It is filled with easy meals that are both delicious and nutritious. A third book is in the works - "Denture Co-Pilot - supporting a loved one through the process of getting dentures." All books will be available through Amazon. About the Author

Donna Wylie began writing at an early age. Her poetry has been published in school and town magazines, in Writer's Digest. Recently, one of her poems was selected for inclusion in "Warrior Soul, A Journal to Inspire Your Fiercely Alive Whole Self". She has written company newsletters, staff presentations, web copy and training manuals. Her first book on Amazon was a job hunting guide: "Ready-Set-Succeed: A guidebook for the successful job hunter". That was followed by a murder mystery novel ("Wish You Were Dead") and a booklet of poetry ("Keep Dancing"). Ms. Wylie is currently hard at work on a series of poetry books that reflect the emotions and angst of a young girl growing up in the 60's and 70's. She recently completed her second murder/mystery novel: "The Last Laugh." Together with her husband, Rick, she has completed two books in the series "The 7 Stages of Teeth: Dentures Demystified." The first book is a recipe collection, entitled "Chopper Optional: Recipes for the recently toothless". The second book in the series is a diary of her experience, "Denture Adventure: The year I got teeth for my birthday." Ms. Wylie has a blog where she posts humorous essays on life. She also maintains several Facebook pages, including an informational page about dentures and an author page, where she often posts impromptu poems. Ms. Wylie was born in a small town in upstate New York. She attended a small local college where she earned a degree with majors in Communications, Psychology and Elementary Education. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Ms. Wylie explored a number of careers but never found one that suited her so well as writing. Currently, she works as a kindergarten aide and spends her free time writing. Her primary passion continues to be poetry.
