Reviewed by Jack Magnus for Readers' Favorite Discover Love: Saints Protection & Investigations is a romantic novel of suspense written by Maryann Jordan. Luke Costas loved being part of Jack Bryant's Saints Protection & Investigations Team. Working for the CIA had been a disappointing and stifling experience. His MIT background in Computer Engineering made him the perfect tech specialist for Jack’s private security team. The Saints worked and partied together; they were a family as well as a professional team. As he watched the rest of the Saints and their wives and girlfriends having fun at Chuck's Bar & Grill, he wondered when or if he would ever find someone special. The only other single guy on the team was Marc, who could pick and choose his dates. Luke was a nerd, always had been, and while his neighbor, as he was growing up, had taught him martial arts, and he did some running in college, Luke was more comfortable with his computer than with people. He did have one computer friend, someone he had gotten to know online and who had actually helped the Saints with some of their cases, but Luke had no idea who they were. Luke's responsibilities on the team were abruptly changed after they were approached by the FBI for their assistance in investigating the death of an informant, Eli Frederick. Frederick’s body was found in the Potomac River, months after he was supposed to meet with them. Frederick was a programmer genius who, like Luke, had also gone to MIT. Maryann Jordan’s romantic novel of suspense, Discover Love: Saints Protection & Investigations, focuses on Luke, one of the newer members of Jack Bryant’s Saints Protection & Investigations Team. While it’s not the first book in the series, Jordan gives enough background information to allow this book to be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. She does a superb job of making each of the Saints and their significant others distinct and memorable without overwhelming readers who are new to the series. I especially liked the character of Charlie, who is an intriguing combination of streetwise and bookish nerd. Discover Love is an action-packed military thriller that shows the Saints operating as a team against a particularly heinous crime scheme, and the story works quite well. Discover Love: Saints Protection & Investigations is most highly recommended.

This series of Alpha Men and Strong Women just gets better with each book Maryann Jordan adds Luke Costas is always using his mad computer skills, working tirelessly to gather information to help solve missions for Saints Protection & Investigations. Charlotte Trivett “Charlie” is the unknown cyber-assistant, who showed up a few months ago, offering small tips that have helped Luke gather the information needed to aid in the Saints missions. Anticipation high, I couldn’t put the book down as I turned each page, eager to see what would happen next. Charlie shows up out of the blue asking Luke for help to figure out who killed her friend Elli and who might be coming after her next? Luke and the Saints, concerned for Charlie’s safety, take on the mission and work tirelessly to solve this mystery. What follows is another awesome story. Is this Luke’s HEA? Will Charlie make room in her life for this vulnerable, protective overall badass Alpha? I think you will enjoy watching the love grow between these two as it leads to some tender “spicy” scenes throughout the book. Maryann Jordan has created a whole series of Badass Alpha men and Strong Supportive women who will do anything to protect those they love to get their HEA.

On the run and in trouble, Charlie decides to find Luke. She dons different disguises so she can "meet" Luke, the man she's been secretly helping for months now. Luke doesn't know who this mystery woman is, but is disappointed when she leaves without giving him her name or number. When she returns to the RV she's been living in and discovers two men trying to break in, she decides it's time to introduce herself to Luke--by breaking into his home! We finally get to meet Charlie!!! As a student, Charlie was a part of a study group. Upon graduation, each member went their separate ways. Charlie decided to work from home as she suffered from anxiety of being in large groups. She took private contracts from different companies, but also helped with projects given to her by her former classmate. He stumbles upon illegal harvesting of organs and possible human trafficking while working. He sends portions of his work to Charlie, then winds up dead--with Charlie as the only witness to his murder. Charlie, Luke, and the other Saints are in a race to figure out the code and the incomplete program before anyone else gets hurt or dies. While investigating, Charlie discovers another classmate has been killed as well. Since the Saints no longer have Mitch, their former FBI contact, they are dependent upon a new agent, who may be involved in the scandle. There were many twists and turns at the end that I wasn't expecting. It was suspenseful and sweet. I loved the glimpse into Luke's childhood. I enjoyed his quirky and forgetful parents, but was also grateful that he had such a wonderful influence growing up. His next door neighbors took him in and helped to make him into who he was. It was sad that Charlie didn't have a family, but that was quickly remedied when the Saints women welcomed her into their group. I enjoyed Charlie and Luke's interaction at "work"! Jack even offered her a job. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense novels. The whole series is GREAT!!! This is a stand alone novel with a HEA and no cliffhangers! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
