Ms. Anderson comments on writing a book about an Alpha male character in the Foreward to the story. And she's right. It is NOT your typical Alpha male story. It was more of a warning: maintain your independence and don't allow anyone to dictate your life. Possible Spoiler Alert: As someone who has been there, I could read the signs and I found myself thinking "No, no, no! Don't fall for it!" It was like watching a horror movie and yelling at the woman on the screen not to go walking in the woods alone at night while there's a killer on the loose. At the same time, I knew that Etta had to experience it for herself. Unfortunately, there are some lessons that must be learned the hard way. I was sympathetic to Damien. He had many redeeming qualities and I could understand how she fell for him - but he crossed the line in too many ways. No, he didn't hit her, but in a way, that might have been better because then Etta would have been clear about the nature of their relationship. Instead, he insidiously worked his way into her life and began to control every aspect of it, and he made their love feel like something rare, something that no one else would understand or ever hope to have. When love burns at such a high intensity, be prepared to get burned. I only have one complaint: Where is the sequel?!? I read the teaser at the end of "Drawn" and I'm anxious to find out what happens next. I realize I'm being impatient, but it's mid-May and Ms. Anderson promised to conclude the story in May.

This story needs to serve as a warning to young girls who think they are love. There is no room for abuse in a relationship. I wanted to stop reading the moment I realized where this story was heading but I wanted to see what happened. The ending reminded me of a soap opera cliffhanger. Explicit sexual scenes and language. Roughly 190 pages.

At first it seemed like a great love story. About fated lovers coming together. But then the problems came and there were many secrets. She should have dumped him when he was becoming more aggressive and abusive. But she went back. BUT what really made me not like this, was that it kept going on and on and on with the problems and stuff. It missed many details to make the story more intriguing. Was really choppy.

This book was well written. I became so emotionally involved i could not put it down without becoming anxious to rush right back. But the content is so intense! Its hard to read about what is going on and not scream inside your head, "what are you doing!!!"

Very disturbing. Once you are in a controlling relationship it's hard to get out.

Drawn was so good. Etta would make me so angry when she let Damien talk her into anything. He was so controlling but I still wanted her to be with him. Damien holds so many secrets that he won't share with Etta. Am looking forward to the next book.

I wish i never read this book. Its too dark and dangerous for me. I wont be reading the other books. What kind of author would make Damien the good guy. And she needs to pick an ending and go with it.

This is a series like no other – this is an adult version of choose your own adventure. You get to choose which man is the hero. I thought I was all in for one of the males until I read the other but I will get to those books with the other reviews.  This first book tells us about Henrietta and the love triangle with Damien and Aaron. Aaron and Etta have remained friends after their relationship failed.  The main theme of this story is that Etta is controlled – every aspect of her life is controlled. Her parents have a proverbial choke hold on her so that when she turns 18, she’s practically scrambling from their clutches. It was only by a chance encounter that she even met Damien.  Once he was in her life for those mere moments, there was no way to get rid of him. As soon as it became apparent that Etta was not meant to actually meet Damien, the hairs all over my arms and neck stood to attention. I have issue with storylines where the male is ‘I can tell you what to do and where to go and keep tabs on you but don’t you even think about asking me where I am or what I’m doing’.  I had a real dislike for Damien.  For a smart girl, she makes some dumb choices and I was hoping on hope that she would see the light. I had to keep telling myself, ‘this is an eighteen year old’ she has to learn. And she learns hard.  If you could take the kindness and supportive parts of Aaron and fuse them with the sexiness of Damien – we would have the perfect man. The tension that Lilliana writes oozes off the page. I couldn’t put the book down when it all went to clusterf**k mode! Hairs on end, my heart was racing and I was thinking the worst.  This book will leave you feel exhausted, a little lost but overwhelmed with a huge sense of freedom and relief.  I bought a copy of Drawn with my own money. This did not impact on my opinion nor this review.

18, sex.. (not that I object) but to the exclusion of even eating? Intelligent but not very smart young woman. If that was my child I'd have been over to see what was up not standing around with my thumbs up - well u know.

No depth. Bad editing. Under achieved characters. Bad sex scenes. Bad message.
