England, My England is a collection of short stories published by D. H. Lawrence. Between 1913 and 1921, various pieces were initially written, many of them against the backdrop of World War I. Most of these versions were printed in periodicals or newspapers. Later, Lawrence chose ten and thoroughly rewrote them for the book England, My England.
