This compilation of poems has been birthed through many challenging experiences as a daughter, sister, girl friend, mother, wife, and employee. I discovered that life was not a bed of roses. The discovery of journaling and later, using poetry to express my private self in hopes of surviving my public self is what has helped to frame my thinking today.
