Alan Dean Foster once again takes you into a futuristic world of aliens, space travel, and integrates them with everyday human beings and their day to day problems. Like every Alan Dean book the reader is instantaniuosly absorbed into its pages and left reeling and smiling when finished. The difference for me is that albeit the book is science fiction, it is written so well that I was left with no choice but to question its possibility. Thank You Alan Dean Foster!!

I not only took this book when I moved out of my childhood home, it's one of the few that is pencil-marked and dog-eared and quoted from. Solid world-building, with little presents of sparkling descriptive bursts as the main characters wend their way into the universe and back again. Existentialism, aliens, punks, and the secret of the universe.

This book got me hooked on Alan Dean Foster. True to Foster's prior and subsequent books, the characters are quirky and memorable. It goes by far too quickly.
