Not a strong story. Elise seems to be from the UK, and the chacters are Americans who use british phrases and terms that were challenging to understand.
Great Book to read. Could not put down until I was at the end. This was about a woman that thought she was going crazy because she keep thinking someone was in her apartment when she was not there because of the smells and things being moved around but the cops did not think it was anything. So after a few months she got to the point where she had it and moved to another state and started over. She worked two or three jobs. But any way it is time to Buy the Book to know what happens next. It is worth it to Buy the Book
Action Packed Romantic Thriller!!! Best Series Ever! :) An abusive ex-boyfriend. A mugging. A stalker. Getting fired (sacked as Elise would write) from a crappy job. Lara was down on her luck. So a randomly crazy move seemed like a perfect adventure. Still broke, Lara lucked into a housekeeping job for one of Blackwood Security's team members, but the house / estate was straight out of a Hoarders episode. Can a lowly housekeeper become more to her wealthy, sexy boss? A friend in a coma after an accident. A wedding back home. The ex-boyfriend reappears. The stalker reappears. I know what you're thinking... This is too much action for one book! And yet Elise keeps the action (and romance) coming chapter after chapter with full clarity. Personally, I want to work for Blackwood Security! HEA and no cliffhanger, yet I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Gray is My Heart. Can be read as a standalone, yet I highly recommend reading the entire series in order for maximum enjoyment. Warning: This series is addictive!
Exhilarating and sweet - Leaves you wanting more! A combination of captivating, intense, dangerous with liberal and strategic applications of witty and amusing instances wrapped up neatly in a package of romantic. Elise's writing keeps you hooked throughout the story. Beautifully balanced in development of characters, the world of Nick and Lara is addicting. The story line teleports you to a world realistic just teetering on the edge of fantasy. True to it's name, the rush is very apparent however, not limited to this book. Though a standalone novel, it is without exception a part of the Blackwood Security series forcing you to know about the other characters and their stories thereby, exploring the whole theme. No review can do the book justice, do read!
