Kaden "Hawk" Cross is used to being in control of every aspect of his life: from his short stint in the military to his VP position in the Haven MC. But when he meets a woman who threatens his control, he is reminded why he never makes rash decisions-they tend to come back and bite you.

Charlie Rhoades is a woman who has always gone after what she wants. And taking a job across the country that would give her the opportunity to look for the grandfather she never met made sense. What didn't make sense? Is finding a man who heats her blood but seems totally aloof toward her. But being a bounty hunter, she isn't easily deterred by his actions; she is more apt to be assertive. Good for her, not so much for the biker who would rather be the pursuer.

On the outside, Haven MC is the typical motorcycle club filled with bikers-on the inside, they are men with the knowledge and abilities to keep not only their club safe but their country. Missions come and go, but what keeps the men of Haven committed, is the unwavering Brotherhood and the acceptance from the women who cross their paths.

Yet again another confusing book from this author in this series. The action part is poorly developed, skips around and makes no sense unless you read between the lines and makeup the background information that would have tied it all together, add that together with the poor editing and you are left wishing the author had just skipped the action and kept it centered on the main characters and their hot love scenes as the rest adds nothing to their love story. The sad part is there is alot the author could have worked with and developed better to make this series great but its like a rushed poorly written version of what i wished had been a great book.

Not bad. I enjoyed Charlie's character since the beginning and i'm glad her character didn't change. She was outgoing, tough, funny with a touch of sweet, plus she can kick ass better than the men in this series. Though not a lot happened in this book as far as action goes, it did have its interesting parts, like Charlie finally finding her grandaddy. Everything else was straightforward and a little bland. I'm not asking for violence but action and mystery go a long way, still I did enjoy the book. I was disappointed that I couldn't give this book four stars, hell even 4.5 stars as there were just too many grammatical errors. Enough for a reader to take notice and focus on how many more will be found. Errors in large quantities tend to distract the reader and I was sadden at seeing so many errors. With that being said, I have enjoyed this series and look forward to reading the next book.. SR

Terrible editing, confusing story line. Not enough details. Just jumps from one thing to the next.

God, I love these books. I am so glad I found this author. Carson Mackenzie is amazing. Her writing style is so very good. I read her books from page 1 to the end in one sitting, they are so good I can't put them down until I am finished, then I think...oh no I'm done and then I have to look to find out when her next story will be released....Its Kegs turn and from the little teaser it sounds like another very good read.
