Less charm and more slease than Jill Mansell's other books. I had a difficult time liking the characters or caring about their lives. Only finished reading it on principle. Disappointed.

I've always enjoyed her books in the past, but this one was very humorless and on the raunchy end. I will not be buying any more of her books until I see lots of reviews! Waste of money.

Jill Mansell manages to create an entire village of believable characters, all flawed, some in this tale not so nice - but that worked well. She's a master of the humor of the mundane. Thanks for hours of entertainment.

Head Over Heels by [Mansell, Jill]I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Jessie Roscoe is an interior designer with a secret. This is about to change when the unidentified father of her son moves into the house next to hers. A father and son meeting can't be too far behind. The father, Toby Gillespie, is married to a very understanding woman, Deborah. How will this all play out? I enjoy reading Jill Mansell books. This book was so entertaining and easy to read. I was able to read this very quickly. The recommendation is very high for this book.

Chick-lit about married people. They all get each other in the end. A good read, but not really a great story. Why did none of the children mind the split up of their parents? Because it did not fit in the story?

Head Over Heels is a fun and light romance. I love reading Jill Mansell’s books because she makes me laugh and always writes a captivating story. This book takes place in Upper Sisley, an elite neighborhood in England, where the famous actor, Toby Gillespie, just bought a home. Jessie Roscoe, the village’s interior decorator, has lived in Upper Sisley for years. So when her new neighbor called requesting decorating expertise, she was not surprised. That was, however, until she recognized the caller’s voice. She knew it was Toby Gillespie immediately, not only because he was a famous actor, but because she has loved him, from afar, for twenty years. Jessie never thought the day would come where she would see Toby Gillespie, face to face, again. She should have told him, about Oliver, years ago, but, the right moment just never seemed to come, and now, it was too late. Toby Gillespie was about to get the surprise of his life, and he was going to be furious about it. Jessie Roscoe wasn’t the only person hiding something though. There were many residents in the Upper Sisley Village with shameful, buried secrets. And some were carrying on as if they were above discovery and consequences. Little did they know, though, that the comeuppance day for Upper Sisley Village was about to arrive. Head Over Heels is a well-written book with colorful characters, witty dialogue and cleverly crafted surprises. I have read several of Jill Mansell’s books and have never been disappointed. If you have not discovered Jill Mansell yet, you are in for a treat. She’s one of my favorite authors. Thank you, Sourcebooks-Landmark and NetGalley for my advanced review copy.
