Another fun summer on the Cape! When a batch of friends summer at the same place every year, there’s bound to be great friendships and lots of fun to be had by all. Familiar characters and fun romance whisks away and takes us on a search for happily ever after! Jenna Ward has been crushing on Pete Lacroux during their summers in Wellfleet, Massachusetts for years! She’s super sexy and confident around everyone else in the world, but around him, she turns meek and shy. She’s had a tough couple of years and she’s ready for some fun and relaxation this summer, and if Pete won’t give it to her, she’s going to stop pining away for him and get out there and find herself another man! Pete has adored his friendship with Jenna over the years, but he’s never quite been sure why she’s so shy around him. When he sees her being all confident and sexy when it comes to picking up the hot construction worker hard at work down the block, he’s blown away. He wants that woman! As family strife continues to nag at them, they decide to overcome whatever comes their way to see where this sexy connection can lead!

Heart at Seaside is book 3 in this series. I really recommend reading the first two books before reading this one. You will just understand it more if you do. Can I just say that I really love this series so far and it's just what I need after a long day. Jenna is a nice sweet girl. I really love her as a character. Jenna has a OCD problem she needs to have things in order the way she needs them to be. She gets shy around handsome hunk Peter. Peter is a good guy who likes to spend time at the cabin. Both Peter and Jenna are going through some changes with there own family but will this hurt there relationship? The writing was wonderful and a fast paced read this was for me. I am looking forward to the next one. I need more. You really need to pick up this book up. If you want a good romance story check this out. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Addison Cole has perfected the “feel-good romance” novel. A fabulous Author who has a delightful and encompassing style of writing. Jenna is a character who readers could be best friends with….she is fun and an overall genuine person. This novel will leaving you rooting for Jenna and Pete’s relationship. Although they’ve known one another for a long time, there is still so much for them to discover about one another. I’m looking forward to her next novel! Highly recommend it!!!

Hearts at Seaside is the sweet version of Seaside Hearts, and I have been longing to read Jenna & Pete's story for a long time. Jenna has had a crush on Pete for the past five summers that she he has been the maintenance pool guy at the Seaside Cottages, turns out Pete has felt the same way about Jenna but neither have made a move! It isn't until this summer that Jenna decides to "move" on from Pete and dates a hunky construction worker, this really riles up Pete and makes him jealous - I mean who wouldn't be right? But Jenna is a contradiction to herself - she is such a strong, free spirit but she turn to mush when ever Pete is around and clams up, hardly saying two words to him, talk about mixed signals! Pete is not without his own faults, he is trying to distance himself because of his father who has a problem with drink and in turn giving her mixed signals! Honestly these two need to be locked in a room and let all the pent up sexual tension out - and in fact that is near enough what happens, but done in a way that your granny could read it without blushing. Addison has a way to make this sweet and steamy at the same time, and their is no denying that Pete and Jenna have chemistry. As with the other books you meet the other seaside girls who are just a right old hoot, and this can be easily be read as a stand alone. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

3rd-in-series, 4-stars, arc, beach, contemporary-romance, fun-read, hea, romance, small-town, sweet-romance Jenna Ward has been Hot For Handyman, Pete Lacroux for years. Though every time she talks to him she clams up. (She is one of 4 Best Girlfriends - 'The Seaside Girls' who summer at The Cape every year.) She is a Rhode Island School Art Teacher. Jenna is the one with OCD tendencies and in one way is a rock collector who chooses a different shape/color every year that everyone on The Cape helps her collect. Everyone knows about her Rock Collections since they sit all over the place at her Cottage. Jenna decides to date a Construction Worker because she has given up on Pete showing any actual Love interest in her. Pete wonders how she can be so brazen with other men when she shakes like leaf in a storm any time she is near him. They both have strong feelings for one another but don't realize that the other does as well. He also doesn't want any one to find out how his Father has turned to Alcohol after the death of his Mother. Join in this summertime romance to find out if Jenna will stay with the construction worker Charlie and continue to clam up around Pete? Or will she finally feel brave enough to let Pete know her true feelings? These books in this series all stand alone. I personally like to follow this series in order so I can follow along with how all the girls grow and change year to year. I received a copy of this book through Beck Valley Books, Book Tours and chose to review it after I read it. I was not compensated in any way for this review, nor was I asked to give a positive review.

I could not wait to read this book. Ever since I read the first two books in this series I was hooked. In this book we meet Jenna and Pete. Jenna is a outgoing and super funny. She has had a major crush on Pete who seems to be oblivious about his feelings. It's not until he sees her talking to another guy that he realizes what he feels. I loved Pete he is a kind and loyal man. Because of problems in their own life both of them feel like they are too damaged to love. Do you want to know if they are able to overcome the obstacles? Then you gotta read this book!

Jenna has taken refuge in Seaside escaping from her mother's new found wild side, and this is the year that Jenna will get over Pete and find her incredible love. Jenna thinks her mind has been made up, but every time Pete is around her, she turns into a shy awkward teen that can't express her feelings. Pete loves the confidence that surrounds Jenna, however anytime Pete is near Jenna, her confidence seems to disappears. Pete is convinced that Jenna doesn't have feelings for him, and he is wasting his time, pining for her. But the thought that another man could be in Jenna's life is too much to handle. I saw myself in Jenna. You have feelings for a guy for so long and your body reacts whenever you're in close proximity, but your mind and mouth betray you. It obvious to most that there's attraction, but you doubt what you see. *An advance copy of this book was provided to me for review purposes only, all opinions expressed are my own*

This one almost felt like it had two sections – the first part of the book is spent with Pete & Jenna dancing around each other with quite a few misunderstandings. They’ve been doing this for a while because both have had feelings for the other but Jenna always freezes up and loses her mojo near Pete which means he isn’t sure what she feels for him. Once things come to a head though Pete can’t let it go any longer and decides to make a move … and it’s almost a comedy of errors from there :) It both frustrates and entertains me, which is an indication of how good of a writer Cole is. I’ve DNF’d quite a few books that just frustrated me with this kind of push/pull but here it really works. It’s believable for them to get themselves into these situations and Cole does a great job of getting them back around to where they should be. Once they get together it becomes a bit more of a woman’s fiction kind of thing. There really isn’t a lot of drama about the couple themselves and move smoothly into being together. Instead they each have some family issues they need to address – Pete has an alcoholic father who isn’t willing to own up to his issues and Jenna’s mom is having problems adjusting to her status as a divorcee. But together they are better able to handle their problems, with support and insight for the other. It adds such a wonderfully real feeling to their story and makes them even more human. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

I have become a fan of Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers books with their memorable characters that represent normal people with real life problems, vivid world building with cozy beaches and quaint cottages in a small seaside town and most importantly, engaging storylines that leave me feeling the magic of romance and eager to start the next book! Hearts at Seaside is Jenna's story and I have to confess I had been intrigued by her right from the first book, Read, Write, Love at Seaside. Jenna is a strong, independent woman except when she is around Pete whose presence leaves her tongue tied. Having loved him from afar, only to have him ignorant of her feelings, things take an interesting turn when Jenna decides to move on. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was so brave of Jenna to move on when her heart had been set on Pete for so long. The scenarios involving the whole "moving on" are through and through entertaining and had me laughing as well as cringing. Pete's character had me respecting him and then also wanting to smack him for wasting so much time in realising his true feelings and living his life. His character's journey teaches us that responsibilities dont mean we stop living our life. Both Pete and Jenna became my favourite and had me rooting for a happily-ever-after for them. The writing is engrossing and the story well paced. We get to meet characters from the previous books and it was satisfying to see them living their happily-ever-after. Despite being part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. However, it is always better to read books in order. This series has no explicit sex scenes but does involve plenty of innuendos and teasing glimpses of incoming sex between the characters. All in all, Hearts at Seaside by Allison Cole is another funny and entertaining romance, an ideal beach read. 4.5 stars out of 5 to it from me and recommended to all romance lovers. I look forward to reading the upcoming books from the author and recommend this series to everyone.

I've become absolutely smitten with the Sweet with Heat series based at Seaside. How can you not love four amazing women who happen to be best friends, looking for love during the hot and steamy summer months they spend by the shore? A fairy tale love that will warm the heart of even the most jaded former romantic, Hearts at Seaside is a lesson that all should heed; the heart knows what it wants, and no matter how hard you try, you can't deny it. Afterall, what place does the brain have in matters of the heart?

Jenna and Pete are one of my all-time favorite couples in this series! A romance that buds out of a friendship is always a favorite way for love to grow, in my opinion. Jenna has had feelings for Pete over the years but his were hidden down deep inside. Pete doesn't realize that he has the feelings until Jenna decides to move on and ends up flirting with a sweet, caring (oh, and extremely good looking!) construction worker.  The pair each has their own stress to deal with in regards to a parent -- Pete with his alcoholic father and Jenna with her cougar mother. Both of these situations are very real, life-like issues that young adults face. He works hard with his hands being the maintenance man for Seaside and Jenna finds him all too irresistible. But she desperately wants to move on and stop harboring feelings for someone who just doesn't see it.  Pete is worried that when Jenna finally gets to see his "real" side that he may lose her - along with all of his family. Can he risk putting so much on the table? This sweet book explores the loving, sensual side of a couple without crossing lines. I still find myself blushing at the interaction between the two and couldn't help but wishing for these two find a way to make a relationship work! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Addison Cole hit another one out of the park with this book! Jenna Ward and Pete Lacroux have known each other for years and their journey to become a couple is an amazing journey. As one of the other characters tells Jenna "Relationships are the most difficult thing you'll ever do in your life. Childbirth? A breeze compared to living with a man. But again, the right partner will help you blossom. The wrong one will watch you wilt." At the beginning of the book, Jenna makes the decision to stop pining after Pete and go after "a real man". She marches out to meet a construction worker, Charlie, and unbeknownst to her, spurs Pete into taking actions. Pete and Jenna both have baggage that threatens to destroy their relationship. As the two of them navigate the waters of dealing with issues from their parents, their relationship faces some tests. Will the two of them be able to overcome their baggage to commit to their one true love?

Hearts of Seaside is a fantastic addition to the Seaside Community. True feelings get revealed for two people who have been at the Heart of the Seaside Community. Jenna Ward is the fun, quirky, and confident close friend to many of the girls who spend their summers at Seaside. For years, Jenna has crushed on the guy who has been doing the maintenance for Seaside for years. No matter how confident she is around her friends, she's shy around her crush. Jenna is very relate-able in that sense. I couldn't resist being on Team Jenna. Pete Lacroux is loyal, kind, and hardworking worker in the Seaside community. He's a wonderful craftsman who restores boats when he's able to. Lately, his life has been very busy taking care of family, work, a rescue puppy, and his trade. It takes getting jealous over Jenna's flirtations with other men to realize how he feels towards Jenna. Jenna's shyness and behavior towards Pete has always confused him. He's worries that Jenna won't be able to handle his true alpha male personality. It's time for this alpha male to truly decide what he wants in life and if it's worth the risks. Addison Cole has created a sweet and steamy romance novel without getting down and dirty. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I love this series, but this book started a little slow for me. Then I was quickly ensnared. I felt for Pete. He has so much on his plate and he can't fully live his life, but it makes him a great guy for the way he is there for his family. Jenna has longed for Pete to notice her, but this summer is going just like the last until a construction worker enters the picture. It may be the kick in the pants Pete needs. I was a big fan of Jenna at first, but she grew on me. It's nice all the girls are friends because we get to see previous characters in the series enjoying their HEAs.

Sweet with Heat is the perfect description for this book. Jenna is hooked, for many many years on Pete. Pete is hooked on Jenna for just as long. Why haven’t they got together??? Jenna gets shy around Pete leaving him to believe he just might be too much for Jenna to handle. That sentence cannot be farther from the truth. They belong together. No doubts. No questions. I loved how Jenna went after a construction worker to make Pete jealous. That construction worker ended up being sweet, attentive, smart, and almost perfect for Jenna. The only problem with Charlie is that he wasn’t Pete. For anyone else he would have been the perfect man. I liked that Addison Cole did not make Charlie a hunky, brainless, boring guy. She made him a guy that would be perfect for the Seaside Girls. All of that being said, I LOVE Pete’s reaction. Both Jenna and Pete have known each other for what seems like forever yet there are things that they still have to learn about each other. Pete’s dad is a functioning alcoholic and he has been keeping that a secret from almost everyone. Opening up about that to Jenna was a tough scene, which was handled with so much care that I had no doubt that together Jenna and Pete could find the answer to save Pete’s dad and not make it an issue in their relationship. Jenna’s mom is also a “problem” but more like an embarrassment to Jenna. Jenna is worried that her mom will show up and embarrass her in front of Pete and the Seaside crew. By the end of the story I had no worries that they could handle anything thrown at them. While each book in this series is a standalone story, it is fun to see the characters from previous books make appearance and catch up with what is happening in their lives. The next book is Amy’s story with Tony and I can’t wait! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Addison Cole has once again done it. She has written a sensual romance without explicit sexual scenes. We all know romance is in the subtleties. This entire series - Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers - delivers on the sensual feelings involved in romance but leaves behind the explicit sex that a lot of romance authors rely on. Hearts at Seaside tells a story of love that has been simmering for years but has yet to reveal itself with both parties. I so understand the back story of Jenna and Pete. Both really have feelings for the other but neither has ever acted on or discussed those feelings with the other. Basically, they were hidden. When Jenna arrives for her summer, she is bound and determined to let Pete ignore her all he wants. She is going to go out of her shell and find another man. Except when she does, Pete goes berserk, not really crazy but decides he has to let her know how he really feels. So many parts of this book seem so true to life - from the romance to the problems each character has. I can see these people being my friends. I definitely think you should pick up a copy and give it a read. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Jenna and Pete have had a thing for each other for years. Every summer they lust for each other from a distance, but this summer Jenna has decided that she's tired of waiting and she is going to have fun and date. Jenna's dating is exactly the kick in the pants that Pete needs, and his jealousy drives him straight into Jenna's arms. But with Jenna's parents' history and Pete's alcoholic father, they each feel too messed up for love. Can they get past the roadblocks in their way and find the love that they're both looking for? This is a very sweet, romantic book, with the added bonus of the Seaside Girls! We are back at Seaside with the Seaside Girls. If you've read Books 1 & 2 - then you know that Jenna has had a thing for Pete for-EVER!! However, she becomes this shy, awkward woman around him, so he never gets to interact with the real Jenna. Fast forward to this particular summer when Jenna finally decides that she is going to pine no more and goes for a hot construction worker. Pete is at a loss at how he's no longer the center of Jenna's attention. Jealousy spurs him into action. I have to admit I was a bit annoyed with Pete and his sudden feelings for Jenna when he's been able to see how awesome she is when she's around her girlfriends for years. She was just too shy and overwhelmed when she was with Pete. Pete has some serious family issues to deal with and he is a lot of alpha male for Jenna to deal with. Their scenes while PG - were still pretty steamy. This is an enjoyable series with recurring characters that you'll fall in love with. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy that I received from the publisher.

If you love, or are looking to try a sweet with heat romance, look no further then Addison Cole. These books are so wonderfully written they make you feel like you are the characters. Jenna and Pete are so relatable and real. I'm reading and wondering if I could be Jenna because I do so many of the things she does. And Pete reminds me of my husband always wanting to protect and do so much for his family. Jenna has been wanting a relationship with Pete for years. She is fed up with waiting for him to realize what a catch Jenna is. Her friends the Seaside girls are there right along with her through the good and bad with cookie dough, wine and chunky dunking. These girls are so much fun to read about. This is just a great story and a wonderful beach read!!!

Addison Cole’s Hearts of Seaside is a perfect summer beach read. Seaside Summer Book 3 does not disappoint. Jenna has had feeling for Peter for a while. When she finally gives up she asks out someone else and that is when Peter wakes up. I love returning to the girls of Seaside. With this sweet series you will find yourself laughing out loud. If I could give these books more then 5 starts I would.

Addison Cole’s Seaside Summer series is described as “sweet with heat,” but once again I can assure you that there is plenty of heat in Hearts at Seaside and the chemistry between Pete and Jenna is incredible. Besides being a romance, this novel is also based on friendship, family, and overcoming struggles with the help of those we love and trust. The friendship between Leanna, Jenna, Bella, and Amy is amazing and inspiring, reminding you of the importance of friends. And the way the men accept and love all of these women despite their crazy bond and crazy ways, is fantastic. Hearts at Seaside is written beautifully with the characters perfectly balanced between simple and complex. Although the main story is Jenna and Pete, there are several subplots that just enhance the beauty of this novel. Addison Cole has once again blown me away and I cannot wait to read the next installment in the series! **Many thanks to Addison Cole and Beck Valley Tours for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This aptly named book definitely touched my heart. Jenna has loved Pete for many years but this summer at Seaside she decides to give up on him as he has her strictly in the friend zone. This is a sweet innocent read, but when Jenna and Pete finally come together the innocent implications make your imagination sizzle. Jenna and Pete each deal with some serious issues while finding their happily ever after. Excellent Addison Cole book.
