Her Renegade Rancher (Montana Men Series #5) by Jennifer Ryan

The latest installment in Jennifer Ryan's New York Times bestselling Montana Men series...

He’ll risk everything for the right woman

No one knows better than Colt Kendrick that life can change in an instant. He lives without regrets except for one: not making the gorgeous woman he sees every time he walks into the local diner his.

Luna Hill is haunted by the heart-stopping kiss she and Colt never should have shared. Their timing has always been off. Just as sparks begin to ignite again, she is offered a job that will take her far from their ranching town. But when a dear friend dies unexpectedly, leaving Luna a staggering gift, she has a chance to stay and finally make her long buried wishes come true—even ones that involve the sexiest cowboy she’s ever known.

Not everyone is happy with Luna’s good fortune, and as they make their feelings dangerously and abundantly clear when she falls in their crosshairs, Colt will do anything he can, risk everything he has, to keep her safe. Because Luna showed him he has a heart...and it belongs to her.

For instance, hero and heroine are having sex (she loves him) but he doesnt kniw if he is ready for a long-term commitment. Or if she is. That is an insult to her! What kind of a woman does he think she is? The reader knows they love each but he needs to realize it too.

Another good story in the Montana men series. Makes me want to move to Montana and find my own cowboy rancher! Can't wait to read Ford's story.

I'm a fan of the series, but a bit disappointed with this latest. I enjoyed the characters and the scenario, however, a good portion of it had choppy sentencing, and in some parts, it went too far with the details. I'm hoping the next one is better.

Liked Luna and Colt... But, that said the story line was a bit far fetched for me... In what world does a man leave a huge ranch and millions of dollars to a waitress in a diner??? But the love story and the actions of the disgruntled heirs keep you reading... Have read and enjoyed most of the books in this series and found them to be well written and worth the time...

Her Renegade Rancher was a sweet, slow burn, full of southern charm kind of read. The type you savor and repeat. Luna and Colt are two people so wrong for each other that it can only be right. It's two people fighting a fierce attraction and when they meet, it's like the fourth of July. It's explosive and amazing and just utterly breathtaking. It's a must read!

Who doesn't love a good cowboy? Sexy, hard working and just plain yummy - I'm in. I don't read many cowboy books but I do always seem to enjoy them. Maybe I need more cowboys in my life. This story is about the love between friends, family and lovers coupled with the drama that can happen when some don't get what they think belongs to them. Luna is a good person who has worked hard trying to do what's right. She befriends an old rancher that just needs a friend. His family is far from the friendly kind. And when he dies and leaves her his ranch, that family is willing to take awful steps to get what they believe belongs to them. But mostly this story is about two friends that shared a kiss and then blamed themselves for making a mistake. They've stayed away from each other for far too long and it's time that stopped. Wayne pushes Luna to Colt so they can forgive each other and a friendship begins that both of them needed more than either of them knew. There is a sweet love story here intertwined between the drama that the reading of a will can cause. And that's the part I loved the most. It took me a while to feel these characters but when I did, I fell for them. I loved Colt - his manners, his kindness, his patience, his consideration, his sexy mouth! I loved Luna - her determination to do what was right and her bada$$ efforts to protect what was hers. I hated Josh and the aunt who shall not be named with a fire and passion that had me ratting and raving at them! I felt sorry for Uncle Harry and the two daughters. Simon had me guessing and hoping. So many emotions tells me the characters were real. The story is enjoyable if not a bit predictable. The sweet love story is satisfying with a good balance of kissing and story progression. The heat level is moderate with nothing really graphic. Not a lot of concentration on the operation of a ranch but more on the people that live there. There is a starry night and a few scary moments balancing to make a great read. It's a great way to spend an evening cuddling with cowboys, kissing and family drama. If that appeals to you, pick this one up for sure!

To read books from several of my favorite series within one week, I feel like I have been on an emotional roll-a-coaster, and just gushing love all over the books and reviews. But what can I say, I love the Kendrick brothers, and Granddad Sammy, the bond, the loyalty, the protectiveness, the manners, the all around hotness they radiate, yeah, what's not to love?! Luna and Colt's story is touching, dangerous, and ardent. I love how the plot was built on their relationship, it was refreshingly original, plenty of romantic, and the danger that was constantly lurking around gave it a spicy kick, another dimension, and lots of tension. It was so easy to immerse myself into this story, lose the sense of time and enjoy the ride. Luna and Colt were so delightfully perfect together. The connection between them was palpable, the attraction is burning hot, yet their focus on staying safe, staying alive, and protecting each other, and first becoming friends. The characters are charming, both Luna and Colt are easy to like, they are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other, they compliment each other so well, and I couldn't point anything negative about them, even if I tried. The story shows them growing into the new responsibilities given to them, and taking a charge on life when it matters. The story is 'full bodied' so to say, it takes the reader for a ride, and keeps going until the very satisfying ending. Even though part of a series, no details were left hanging or questions unanswered. It was a ride I loved being on, loved every moment of it, loved visiting with Colt's brothers again and was happy to see some of Granddad's wishes to come true. At 'the end' I had such a fulfilled and content state of mind, like after a nice long visit with your dear friends, while longing for the next time... ~ Five Spoons

This book was hard for me to finish. The characters connected so quickly and I felt like the connection wasn't real. Yes, it's a book so I get its not real haha! I just didn't feel like their relationship was believable.
