Sweet story but cheapened by overly-descriptive sex scenes.

This is not a cliffhanger. Kylie Gilmore wrote a romance about people who were living lives that left them aline and apart. Jake was the oldest of five. He was an identical twin to Josh. His life started out as a Service Brat, but he is now a billionaire who was tired of the fake love pouring out to him. Everyone wanted something. Especially women who saw his money, NOT him. Claire reinvented herself to become someone. She was tired of being used by everyone and not trusting others. She was famous anf some people seemed to think because they KNEW of her meant that they were entitled ti treat her as a commodity. The sex was explicit and too soon under the aspect of false identities. But in today's social mores, some people do "hook up" on first dates. There are some who having sex with unknown strangers and awake in strange beds. The storyline was entertaining and I do recommend it.

This book doesn’t focus on the main characters enough to be worth the read. I learned about everyone else in the book, but truly could care less for I read romance novels for the ‘love story’ of the main characters. Too much extra, for when the date actually happened it was rushed for sooo much extra tome was on everyone else.

Overall, this was a cute story, a cute setup, and a cute romance. If you're fine with that, you'll definitely enjoy this book. I sure did. However, it is missing a certain spark that will really resonate this book with you for a long time after. It still is good and adorable, though, so I would recommend. Just go in knowing you're going to be greeted with cliched romances, sassy book club members, and a disappointing lack of carbs. I love Kylie Gilmore's books and was super excited for the release of a new series! This is the first book in the Happy Endings Book Club series and it was an awesome book to start with! In true Kylie Gilmore style, she wrote with heart, humor and the relationships that bind us together! Claire and Jake are awesome together! I loved the twins! I really like the women in the book club. I absolutely can't wait for the next book!

Hidden Hollywood is the first book in the new Happy Endings Book Club series by Kylie Gilmore. While researching her role for the Fierce Trilogy movies, superstar Claire Jordan never thought she would bond with the author and her romance book club, The Happy Endings Book Club. Claire feels normal with these women and confesses her secret longing to find a regular guy. She was tired of the egocentric wealthy players that she seemed to attract. The book club is willing and ready to help. In disguise as a regular girl, she is all ready for a date with book club approved Josh Campbell. Billionaire tech CEO Jake Campbell is tired of the gold digging women, especially the glamorous superficial ones. When his identical twin Josh calls in a favor asking Jake to pretend to be him on a date, Jake figures going out with one of Josh’s cute girl-next-door types might be exactly what he needs. After a wonderful afternoon and one night of passion Jake finds himself wanting more. The problem is this wonderful girl seems to have disappeared. Would he be able to find this girl? Does she want to be found? Will the revealing of true identities ruin or seal the deal for these two. This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Claire Jordan, a highly successful actress, longs to have a "normal" life. She loves her life and her job, she just wants a little bit of normal too. Claire confesses this desire to her Happy Endings Book Club gals. These are the first girlfriends she's ever truly had, so she decides to take Hailey up on her offer to have a "normal" date. Hailey is a hopeless romantic and believer in HEAs. So she sets up her friends in hopes that they will eventually marry and she can be their wedding planner. Hailey uses Josh, who she secretly has a crush on, for these dates. Josh goes on the "dates" in hopes of making Hailey jealous. Josh's identical twin Jake comes home one weekend, tired of the corporate world. He'd like to meet a hometown girl who will love him for WHO he is, not how much money he makes. While home, Josh convinces Jake to go on one of the arranged dates while he takes out Hailey pretending to be "wealthy Jake". The date is with Claire, aka Jenny.... I really liked this novel. It speaks to unfounded perceptions, deceit, love, sacrifices, dreams, and numerous other emotions. It proves that money can't buy you true happiness! Happiness can only be found with the one you love more than anything! This novel has a HEA and is NOT a cliffhanger! I can't wait to hear more about Mad, Hailey, and Josh! Lastly, I loved the uniqueness of this novel. I haven't read a twin switch, contemporary romance novel before. Loved it! I read a gifted copy and all opinions expressed are my own.

Jake and Claire are both pretending to be other people on their first explosive date together what a beginning! Extremely entertaining and engaging story that brings you into a circle of friends you find yourself wanting to be a part of. Jake is one of our favorite bartenders twin brother Josh from Garner's Sports Bar and Grill in Clover Park. He is extremely confident and amazingly fun perfect match first Superstar Claire in every way. Claire is an amazingly fun and witty actress looking for a fun date to take her out of her stressful life for one day but she gets so much more. I love getting to see all my favorite characters from Clover Park. Excited for Mad's story next.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I a huge Kylie fan. She is one of a few authors that I have read every single book she has written and I have loved every single book. This story well it blew me away not because its a good book because they all are or because I love her characters because I do. But because she has written this story worthy of a movie plotline. Its complicated and well written and the twists and turns really impressed me. This was a really fun story, not because of the romance butt more because of the plot, the story she wrote here was just really complicated and fun. Now I need to go into the story and there might be some things spoiled and so don't read anymore if you don't want the storyline. In the last book we meet Julia and Angel. Julia has written this Fierce book series. In that book we meet Claire who wants the rights to make a movie out of the entire series. She is a producer but also a very hot actress and she has her own production company. Claire and Julia become fast friends and Julia introduces her to book club and Hailey who runs book club but who is also a matchmaker/wedding planner. Hailey has a guy friend, Josh Campbell and also Mad "Madison" Campbell who is his sister. Hailey wants Claire to date so she wants to fix her up with Josh, the town bartender. She pays Josh in brownies to date other women and Josh does it because he has a crush on Hailey and he wants to bug her and get brownies. Meanwhile Mad and Josh have a brother, Jake, a ceo who is also Josh's twin. Hailey meets Jake and wants to date him to get some business tips. Meanwhile Hailey fixes up Josh with Claire who decides she is going incognito as Jenny, a girl next girl type for the fixup date with Josh. So Josh decides to stick it to Hailey and trick her into a date with him while sending Jake on a date with Jenny/Claire and lets just say thats when the fun starts. Add in Ty Campbell, Josh, Jake and Mad's brother is a stuntman and he ends up working on the Fierce movie and you can see where things start going. This book is soooooooo fun and complicated and has twists and turns and I absolutely loved every second.

Hidden Hollywood is the first book in Kylie Gilmore's new series, Happy Endings Book Club. Jake Campbell is a billionaire businessman who is tired of women that are interested in his money more than him. Claire Jordan is an actress that just wants to go on a "normal" date for once. Claire and Jake go out together - each pretending to be someone else. Sparks fly, but since neither of them were honest about who they are, neither intend on seeing the other again. Once Jake decides that Claire (the real Claire) is the one for him, he has to convince her that they are right for each other. Hidden Hollywood is a fun romance. Kylie Gilmore brings back the book club characters that we've met in her other series. Another wonderful read from Ms. Gilmore.

Hidden Hollywood has a great premise to kick off Gilmore’s new series.(Who doesn’t love hunky identical twins?) And boy does it appear we have a lot to look forward to. The premier book in the Happy Endings Book Club Series is Gilmore sexy, Gilmore quirky, and throws in some of those Gilmore laughs we love so much. In addition, she’s introduced a plethora of new characters you’ll want to see get their “happy endings.” Jump on in to the Happy Endings Book Club, you won’t be disappointed. (There appear to be plenty of hunks on the horizon!)

Jake and Claire did it for me. The old switcharoo was what they both needed. It filled a void in which was felt by both parties at the same time. I was a little etchy at first but in the end it all came together. Who would have thought that Kylie was holding all these secrets under her sleeve. The fact that Jake even existed was a shocker to me but his actions over (Jenny) a.k.a Claire was just warm and hopeful. Their journey was rememberable and the fact that he stepped up and proved all her notions wrong was even better. Mad brothers have MAD skills.

Ms. Gilmore spoke to my heart with Hidden Hollywood. The Happy Endings Book Club series begins on a high note with this energetic, playful and sincere bundle of feel good fun. An addiction to books and romance helped reel me in because any lover of books I would gladly befriend. Behind the glamour and wealth of big city lives, Claire and Jake have a simpleness on their minds. Matchmaking, a little slight of hand and let the masquerade begin. A person has to be made of stone to not find pleasure in the irresistible world that is Kylie Gilmore.
