This was a sweet and tender story. Something that makes you have hope for people out there who have suffered loss and tragedy. Cathee is a single mom, the result of a rape as a teen. She is very wary of men and has never had an interest in persuing a relationship becuase of her experience. Garrett has suffered the death of his wife and is reluctant to open his heart again even though he knows as a counselor that it could be the best thing for him. The two meet in a hotel where she is staying on vacation and he is the guest speaker at a conference. He asks her out on a dare, she nearly refuses, but finally agrees. They spend a couple days seeing the sights in the town, but when the man who attacked Cathee gets out of jail and tries to track her down to prevent her from being a character witness at his murder trial, Garrett helps her as she tries to stay hidden. Their relationship develops fast, but is completely understandable how things work out for them. A quick and easy read. Satisfying with romance, but nothing to make you blush.

I really enjoyed this book! It would have been a little help full if there was some kind of info on the church,as I am unaware of the practices of their beliefs. I would defiantly read more by this author
