About the Author

Prof. U.C. Mahajan started his career as a Lecturer in English at Dyal Singh College, Karnal (Haryana). He retired as Principal from Government College, Hamirpur (HP) in 1988.

In the introduction to the book he has explained how transformation occurred in him and how he become a staunch advocate of this ancient science of Astrology. In this book the author explains how one can make an horoscope or birth chart and interpret it so as to gain insight into one's personality and potential. One major highlight of the book is the focus on annual charts (Varsh Phals) for 103 years, computing Mahadasha, antardasha and pratantars, significance and effects of planets in various houses, remedies for debilitating and malefic planets, adverse or friendly aspects of planets etc.

'Astrology' is a masterpiece on the ancient Hindu Science of pre-knowledge of one's future and pitfalls which may lie ahead and how best one can overcome the obstacles. "Forearmed is forewarned", is a trite saying and one can draw strength, if he has a vision of future events.
