Guilty of an indiscretion? Time to marry a werewolf.

New York Times best selling author Gail Carriger brings you a charming stand alone story set in her wildly popular Parasolverse.

The monsters left Faith ruined in the eyes of society, so now they're her only option. Rejected by her family, Faith crosses the Atlantic, looking for a marriage of convenience and revenge. But things are done differently in London. Werewolves are civilized. At least they pretend to be.

Backward heathens with no culture, Major Channing has never had time for any of them. But there's something special about Faith. Channing finds himself fighting to prove himself and defend his species. But this werewolf has good reason not to trust human women.

Even if they learn to love, can either of them forgive?

From the bestselling author of the Parasol Protectorate series. Look out for appearances from favorite characters and the serious consequences of unwarranted geology.

My favorite one yet! It has a great mix of romance and humor that I've come to love from Gail Carriger. I hope we see more in the future.

Gail Carrier is one of my favorite authors. I devoured this book in one sitting for while drinking endless cups of tea. The book is a must read if you enjoy witty, intelligent, romantic books.

Set in Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate and Custard Protocol world, How to Marry a Werewolf is another irreverant romp through a regency England filled with Werewolves and Vampires. Familiar characters fill the pages even though this novels heroine is a new entry. American Faith Wigglesworth is leaving the gossip behind and traveling to England to hopefully meet and marry a werewolf. Her dirigible lands and she immediately faces off with a familiar face an irritatingly grumpy Major Channing. Faith doesn’t realize that Channing is an actual werewolf and stands firm, arguing against his manhandling of her precious collection of rocks. Not used to this lack of fear, Channing can’t help but be curious over this American, a curiosity that comes to the attention of his Alpha Biffy, who can’t help but matchmake. Even though How to Marry a Werewolf is a novella, Carriger is able to build a back story for Faith that gives her character depth making her three dimensional. If you’ve read past novels (and you should before reading this novella!) Channing is a familiar face. Always growly and at times rather inhumanly wolfy, it’s surprising to see him as a romantic lead. However, somehow it works! Faith needs that strength that Channing has an overabundance of, and they seem to be the Yin to the others Yang. I really enjoyed their complicated flirtation and dramatic declarations! It would benefit you to have read the Parasol Protectorate series, if not also the Custard Protocol, which is about the next generation although the supernatural set lives a few hundred years, so those characters pop in and out of both. However, if you do pick this up without that advance knowledge of this world I do think you’ll like the romance in this story. It has strength, verve and gives you all the feels.

This is a wonderful novella. Invigorating. Saucy. Bittersweet. Adorable. Fun. Fabulous. Loving, A story of redemption. I loved every minute of it. It is Channing Channing of the Chesterfield Channings' story. It's fun, witty, and more than a bit irreverent. It broke my heart a bit to read how the families treated the two leads. An American in London. A wary and jaded London werewolf. Not a match made in heaven, but perhaps in the heart...?

I always had a fondness for the white wolf! Could not be happier to revisit some of my favorite characters and see the twists and turns that make this such a happy book.

It's about time we heard the back story of Channing Channing the irascible gamma of our favorite pack. I always knew he had hidden depths...but I now sort of love him. I will always adore Biffy and Lyall the most, but now I find I'm loving all of the pack more and more with each little inside glimpse.

Immense fun blending romance with the fantastical. This wonderful book delivers on all counts. One can't ask for more than that. But I do so want more, and have purchased two more books by the incomparable Gail Carriger, my new favorite author.

I love Gail carriger books. There's something about the way that she writes the characters that makes you instantly feel like they have been your best friends for years even the dislikable ones. In this book we finally get to see you at helps make Channing tick, can't wait to read Competence

I think I might love Gail Carriger's novellas more than the full novels, honestly (which is saying a lot, because I am so very in love with those). The way she manages to create believable romances in such a small amount of pages is amazing. It helps that she chooses characters who have been wanting love and have been waiting for their moment to shine, and Faith and Channing are no different. (Seriously, I never expected to like Channing this much after the way he was introduced way back in Changless.) The way they are immediately attracted to each other but refuse to show the more painful parts of themselves until they're neck deep in it together was really endearing. 5/5, please keep satisfying the gooey part of my heart that loves a happy ending, Ms Carriger.

Another excellent book by Ms Carriger. She never disappoints. A lovely heartwarming supernatural romance with a smidgen of intrigue thrown in for good measure.

An excellent addition to the ongoing series. Regular fans will enjoy the character insight and byplay, though the details and background may be a bit much for a new reader to overcome. Recommended for anybody who has enjoyed the Parasolverse novels, and especially for those who enjoy their romance to be...less explicit.

I absolutely adored this book in so many ways. I was waiting for it after Biffy and Lyall's book. Gail Carriger did not disappoint. The hero and heroine meet early on in the book. Also, Biffy is fabulous in every way. There are many amazing hats and absurd situations. I was so happy reading this book and can only ask for more.
