About the Author

Orison Swett Marden (1850-1924) was an influential American member of the New Thought movement. Born into a poor family and orphaned at seven, Marden embarked on a quest to improve himself and his circumstances. He earned M.D. and L.L.B. degrees from Harvard in the early 1880s, and later became a successful hotel owner. He wrote a number of well-received self-help books, including AN IRON WILL, ARCHITECTS OF FATE, and HOW TO SUCCEED.
