I Am, Therefore I Think: A Wolrdview for the Twenty-First Century
This book presents a new worldview that provides coherence, meaning, purpose, and value. To change the world for the better, the present crisis should be seen as an opportunity to transcend the value relativity of the prevailing worldview. A new worldview will empower us to act in a different, more constructive, less competitive, and less obsessed way.

The last great change in our worldview happened in the 17th century, beginning with the writings of Sir Francis Bacon and René Descartes, and with the discoveries made by Sir Isaac Newton and Galileo. Together they ushered in a revolutionary way to perceive the world called the Enlightenment, a very different way of perceiving reality from the religious, church-dominated world of the Middle Ages. Powering scientific research and thought, the Enlightenment revolutionized the West. But this worldview is out of step with present times; a new post-scientific worldview is emerging. I am, therefore I think: a worldview for the 21st century moves beyond Descartes and Bacon, providing an integral and visionary worldview based on Western and Buddhist thought.
