About the Author

Executive Director Christie Chung, Ph.D.
Christie Chung, Ph.D. is an award-winning higher education executive, TEDx keynote speaker, executive coach, author, and professor in cognitive psychology. She currently serves as the Executive Director of The Mills Institute at Northeastern University and is dedicated to creating transformative programs, research, and partnerships that advance educational access and leadership equity worldwide. She has served as Associate Provost, Associate Dean, and many other key Chair and leadership positions at both R1 university and liberals arts college settings. She is the founder and CEO of CC Consulting and Coaching and is dedicated to coaching leaders and executives through a lens of compassion, integrity, and equity to reach their full potential. Her research expertise is in cognitive aging, emotional memory, and cross-cultural cognition, and her research has been featured in outlets such as the Boston Globe.

Christie received her Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from University of Toronto (Distinction & Phi Beta Kappa), her M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied Cognitive Psychology from Claremont Graduate University, and her Postdoctoral training in Behavioral Neuroscience at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

President Frank H. Wu, J.D.
Frank H. Wu serves as the eleventh President of Queens College. Prior to joining the City University of New York (CUNY) system, Frank served as Chancellor & Dean, and then William L. Prosser Distinguished Professor at University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, a unique standalone institution, the original law school of the UC system. Before joining UC Hastings, he was a member of the faculty at Howard University, the nation’s leading historically black college/university (HBCU), for a decade. For his advocacy work, he received the John Hope Franklin Award in 2020.

Frank is the author of Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White. Prior to his academic career, he held a clerkship with the late U.S. District Judge Frank J. Battisti in Cleveland and practiced law with the firm of Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. He received a B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. with honors from the University of Michigan.
