Overview

Jaguar Moon by Linda Palmer

Livvie Merrick hates the psychic gifts that make her different and cause nothing but trouble in her life. That's especially true when she has a vision that the school's star quarterback will break his leg. Naturally Livvie warns him--a warning misconstrued as a curse when it comes true. That makes for a lonely senior year until Alex Sawyer moves to town. Livvie is quickly lost in his big blue eyes. And though it's clear that Alex is as attracted to her, she knows the day will come when he finds out what a freak she really is. What neither of them knows is that Alex is different, too, and the psychic gifts Livvie despises may be exactly what she needs to save him.

My goodness can you NOT love this book? Here, I'll give you my advice right now; GO BUY THIS BOOK. I mean seriously it's perfect, the outcast girl that's a lot more then meets the eye, her supportive, funny best friend, a seriously hot new guy, rumors of a curse-a couple actually-and a romance to absolutely die for! You know what I absolutely love about Linda Palmer? Now "everything" would be the correct answer but in this instance I was referring to how she develops her romances. Her characters are so amazing and have such chemistry and yet there's no sex. Will it be vaguely referred to? Yes. Will anything happen? No. I LOVE that! It's so nice to read without worrying of corrupting my young mind, you know what I mean? There's some swearing so I'll say PG-13 would be a good age group. Okay the little sidebar is asking of the story "moved me" and I would have to say yes. I found myself laughing, sitting on the edge of my seat, and nearly crying (I don't really cry in books-my sister would never let me live that down. But the fact that it brought me close is really something! :)) with the characters in this book. Livvie was a PERFECT heroine and Alex was such a HOT HOT hero! Seriously you fall for this boy like immediately! Her plot pacing is absolutely perfect and I love the character development. This is an amazingly awesome book that I wish I could give like a million stars to! --Sadly I can only do 5. :( bummer. But I told you I would give it a million so hopefully that will convey my point. :) I also really like the message this book conveys. Livvie is different from everyone and at the beginning of the book she strives quite hard to be normal but as the book progresses Alex teaches her that it's okay to be different. By the conclusion Livvie learns that it's okay not to be like everyone else and that being different doesn't coincide with being a freak. I can't really describe the miraculous way Linda Palmer pulls off storylines, characters, and life-lessons with such ease but she does. I suppose you'll have to go pick this book up and read it for yourselves. :) If you like romance, action, mysteries, curses, shapeshifters, kick-butt heroines, or a just plain funny book (cause you will laugh out loud) you NEED this book. If you like one or all of the above go ahead and push that little "buy now" button. You won't regret it. ;) Sincerely Your Faithful Reviewer, DayDreamingBookGirl ;) Recommended Reading: Storm Swept My-Wolf Wolf-Run The Cinderella Swap Nightmare Interrupted Mistletoe Magyk The Curse of Willow Lane Sister Golden Hair Surprise and The Cruiser Yule Be Haunted Calling Cupid (all by(or having a short story by) Linda Palmer) :)

There's a lot to love here: a lonely, misfit girl; the new boy in town; a ghost; and a hundred-year-old shapeshifting curse. Another fascinating read from former Silhouette author Linda Varner Palmer.
