Three years ago, young Lord Jamen Gwyn’s life was turned upside down when a mysterious woman showed up at Gwyn Manor and told him and his six brothers that they were destined to be Vampire Slayers. Afraid for the safety of his fiancé Scarlet, he broke off their engagement, tearing both of their hearts to pieces.
Scarlet Mason’s reputation and life was ruined by the actions of Jamen Gwyn. She has spent years working tirelessly with the help of her aunt, Lady Eliza, to rebuild who she is. Now engaged to the son of a wealthy merchant, Scarlet should be happy with her new life, but one thing is missing. The man she’s loved since she was a girl; Jamen.
When Jamen arrives at the celebration Scarlet’s world is once again upended as she must choose between her duty to her Aunt and following her heart. But the decision isn't that simple. James Yultide Bride is a fun auctioned packed short read with a sweet heartbreaking story that will keep you reading until the last page and than you want more. Loved that the Author brings characters from the previous books in this series-Redlynn and Adrian that do what they can to help Scarlettes Aunt. Still loved Chickass Redlynn
Gwen Brothers are vampire hunters. This is fourth Fairelle book. I loved the whole series. In this book Lord Jamen Gwyn was engaged to Scarlett and the day after his family were told that they were vampire hunters, he broke off his engagement. Years later he is invited to a wedding and someone from their family must attend. He is in town and goes only to find out that the bride is Scarlett, but she had changed her name. If he had know he would not have gone. He finds out that someone is trying to get rid of the Gwyn Lords and that Scarlett is in danger. After he explains why he left her so suddenly without an explanation years ago. They find out that they are in love, but she is getting married in a couple of days. I will let you read the story to see what happens. I recommend the whole series.
My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! The cover is another of her classic tale looks which I have come to appreciate :) This is a novella in the series and should be read after book 2. While you probably don’t have to read them in order, I highly suggest it if you want the richest characters and how the stories weave together beautiful that you do read them in order :) Of course this is still an adults only series due to the steamy scenes and violence inherent and implied :) This is Jamen Gywn and Scarlet’s story. Wow lots of history between them and separate that they must discover. While I really liked this story, it wasn’t quite as awesome as the full books because this was more emotional drama with a little action and you know me I’m an action girl. I’m absolutely going to keep reading the series because it is fantastic and Rebekah’s storytelling is just wonderful and easy to love and sooo creative :) I recommend this story to all those who love a good fairy tale twist even though this one isn’t necessarily one the series is :)
