Intense and provocative, this one grabs you on page one and doesn't let go until the end. After ignoring a judge's order about a client, the naive young attorney Anne Krease is sentenced to community service at a soup kitchen on Jingo Street. Here she meets the love of her life Max Marcowitz, also known as Max Margo a hardened underground enforcer. After being told to stay away from him by many in the know, Anne can only see the good in Max, who sends chills up her spine. Max kills two thugs who were trying to bring harm to Anne and is convicted and sentenced to death by lethal injection. There isn't the usual happy ending for Max and Anne, but there is a happy ending. Even if you don't like to read, read this one, Jingo Street is amazing.
